Feeling Nothing

Introduction

I can always find something to write about but today I had the most weird feeling. I don't think I have ever experienced it before but I will just attempt to put it into words.

How I Felt

This was not writer's block, there was nothing there. Going for a walk usually helps me, but I couldn't even do that. It was like all my motivation to do anything had completely drained away.

I started this article yesterday, and I couldn't finish it, but at least I started it.

I wasn't sure if I could finish this, but ironically taking on a damned near impossible task at work and solving using boolean mathematics in a situation that I have never tried before has sort of oiled the hinges in my mind.

In computing and mathematics, "Boolean" refers to a data type or logic system that can only have one of two values: true or false, often represented as 1 or 0.

It seems the strangest things can actually set your creative juices flowing again.

I did not think I would never write again, but the total emptiness I felt was very disconcerting, but having been through it I know I can get through it if it happens to me again.

Conclusion

While these pieces don't say much about creativity or dealing with lack of inspiration, they are really to let other people know that I suffer like this from time to time, and if it happens to them then there is a way through it.
