The Bugatti "Jean-Pierre Wimille" Legends Limited Edition is based on the Veysel 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse and is powered by an 8-liter W16 engine with a maximum power of 1,200 horsepower, giving the Bugatti supercar a peak torque of a staggering 1500 NM (3000-500 rpm). The interior and exterior of the "Jean-Pierre Wimille" Legend Limited Edition are inspired by Bugatti's legendary Type 57G Tank, and the body is entirely made of carbon fiber and painted in the classic French racing blue as a tribute to the legendary Type 57G Tank. Tank. The same dark and light blue color scheme used by the legendary race car is also incorporated into the design of the Limited Edition, with the two-tone design extending across the front and rear of the car. The elegant light blue color also runs along the lower side of the rear wing, while the striking silver Le Man's silhouette is painted in a way that recalls Wimille's first Le Man victory. The Wimille signature, laser-welded to the fuel tank and cap, is also an exclusive feature that identifies this legendary limited-edition model.

The two-tone color scheme and the attention to detail are also reflected in the interior of the car. The headliner, pedal area, and seat trim are all finished in "Bleu Wimille" light blue, which is mirrored by the dark blue seats to create a complete silhouette. The dashboard, center console, and doors are extensively painted in "Lake Blue", a dark blue color scheme, to create a perfect echo of the interior colors of the cabin. The decorative light blue stitching emphasizes the subtle and elegant design language.

Bugatti's designers have created an original use of blue, red and white, the symbols of France, in a clashing stitching process to honor Jean-Pierre Wimille, the great driver and the Type 57G Tank he drove, and to pay tribute to the Bugatti brand. The tricolor stitching is applied to the leather stitching of the steering wheel and gearshift, adding a touch of authentic French elegance to the overall interior design.

The signature of Jean-Pierre Wimille is carefully stitched on the seat headrests in "Bleu Wimille" light blue stitching.

The interior of this legendary limited edition also bears the mark of the Le Man's race: the classic contours of Le Mans are embossed in polished aluminum under the EB logo set in the center of a dark blue carbon fiber panel at the rear of the cabin.

Further legendary design elements include the "Les Légendes de Bugatti" carbon fiber logo and the famous Bugatti elephant embossed in the center console panel, and the portrait and signature of Jean-Pierre Wimille embedded in the door sill.

The Type 57G Tank was built in Molsheim from 1936 to 1937. Only three Type 57G Tank cars were produced at the Bugatti factory in Alsace at the time. At a time when car racing was dominated by other national brands, Bugatti wanted to lead French racing to a new level of victory with the Type 57G Tank.

Jean Bugatti, son of Ettore Bugatti, the founder of Bugatti, led the development of this car for long-distance endurance racing. With a standard Type 57S chassis and Bugatti's 3.3-liter 8-cylinder engine, the car has a wheelbase of 2.98 m. The Type 57G Tank's engine delivers around 200 hp and its aerodynamic design allows the Type 57G Tank to reach top speed faster than other cars.

The Type 57G Tank, driven by Jean-Pierre Wimille, was a success right from the start: in 1936, he won the French Grand Prix and the Prix de la Marne in this legendary car.

From July 19 to 20, 1937, the Bugatti team of two Type 57G Tank cars took to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. One was co-driven by test drivers Pierre Veyron and Roger Fabric, while the other was driven by Jean-Pierre Wimille in partnership with Robert Benoist. The Type 57G Tank driven by Wimille quickly took the lead and helped the Bugatti team to win the race. The Type 57G Tank averaged 136.99 km/h (84 mph) and covered a total distance of 3,287.938 km (2,043 miles) in the race, which saw Jean-Pierre Wimille win the first Le Mans trophy for Bugatti, making him a legendary hero of the brand. legendary hero.
