Ford Everest

Ford has begun work on an all-new generation of the Ford Everest, which is expected to be launched first in the Thailand market sometime next year. As the full-size segment becomes more competitive, manufacturers are revamping and updating their vehicles in order to maintain their competitive edge. That's why launching a new generation of SUVs has become important to Ford.

Recently, a test vehicle in camouflage was seen on an Thailand street. The computer-generated images are based on the final clay model of the upcoming Ford models, and Ford's design team recreated the front and back halves of the Ford Everest, according to an informed sources. So the next-generation Ford Everest looks nothing like the current model. The body panels seem to have grown slightly and the overall look is bigger. Ford will also launch the off-road racer Wildtrak X variant in the international market, which will become a staple of future Ford development. As a result, the 2022 Ford Everest (เอ ฟ เวอร์ เร ส in Thailand language) will be a little more understated in design with just a little aggressive and off-road design elements.

As you can see from the car's predecessor, the design of this model is inspired by Ford's F-series pickup trucks. The front end has a c-shaped LED daytime running light, while the main LED headlight unit is located in the lower half of the "C". There are three slats across the front grille and a skid plate mounted on the lower half of the bumper. Then we come to the sides, where we can see the squared-off roof of the SUV, as well as the side projector fog lights. The tires are on 5-spoke black alloy wheels, which in the road version will be replaced with a compound more friendly to tarmac. There are also some open wheel arches and steps on the sides, with steps on the sides to help ease access. The most important thing is a small door on the front fender, that is used to charge the electric hybrid version of the car. This design is not available domestically and is only offered to certain specific markets.

Black plastic cladding wraps the entire underside of the vehicle and the wheel arches. At the top, we see a pair of roof rails, which add a bit of roughness to the overall look. b and c pillars are painted black, while the A and d pillars are white. Other notable details include black alloy wheels, body-colored door handles, and wrap-around LED taillights. This digitally rendered model looks a bit larger than the current version. Based on the available spy images, we can conclude that the next generation model will be larger than the current one. The cabin should also get a new design, as well as some new features.

Now let's take a look at the rear half of the car. We can see an upright rear fender, a rear wiper with washer and high mounted brake lights. A new set of vertical LED taillights replaces the current horizontal taillights. According to the official release, there are three engines powering the Ford Everest: a twin-turbocharged version of the 2.0-liter diesel engine, a V6 diesel engine and a plug-in hybrid. All engines will be equipped with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The transmission features SelectShift technology, which allows skipping multiple gears.

The 2022 Ford Everest will be equipped with a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine with a maximum power of 217 PS and a peak torque of 500 Nm. This engine will put the 2022 Ford Everest on par with its competitors. Its frequent competitors include the Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X, Skoda, Volkswagen Space and Mahindra G4. Let's look forward to this wonderful competition !
