If you are planning to book a stay in one of the many Barcelona luxury hotels, you definitely have to make a visit to round up your itinerary of the city. It is a good idea to get to know a little about the top tourist attractions of the city so you can look forward to booking your cheered holiday with style.

Here are three suggestions that are sure to tickle your holiday appetite.

The Botanical Garden

If you love flowers, the Barcelona Botanical Garden should be high up on your 'to see' list.

This is one of the city's most popular attractions and dealt with Botanical Gardens do not come very often. However, even if you have seen all the flowers and plants here, there are still some lesser-known attractions.

Botanists will enjoy your visit to the Gardens, as they can see examples of several of the plant families found in the city. There are often workshops and demonstrations on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays.

Montjuic Castle

The Barcelona luxury hotels will serve you gourmet cuisine and a glass of Spanish wine - a truly romantic way to relax after a stressful day of work. However, you can also visit the popular Palaumontjuic Castle for a truly unique experience. T

he castle is seven hundred years old and stands amidst the urban area of the city. It has been given over to the wildlife and flora of the city, with Japanese trees, Egyptian cotton trees, and rare plants.

On the ground floor of the castle, there is a sculpture of General Franco, which will give you a sense of his grandeur.

Park Guell

Antoni Gaudi's Park Guell is one of the most popular attractions of the city - and certainly one of the best. If you are staying in one of the Barcelona luxury hotels, university students will be particularly impressed with the park's unusual design.

Its structure seems to absorb light in different ways, changing from hemisphere to dome in a sort of clam-shell effect, and it is thus dubbed the Park of the Century.

The park lies within the urban area of the city and is an excellent place to enjoy a leisurely ramble before returning to your accommodation in one of the central Barcelona luxury hotels.

Millenary Park

The park is made up of twenty routes, which spread over an area of fifty hectares and take in Gaudi's brilliant architecture as well as stunning sculptures and musical performances.

It is divided into three main areas: the landscaped park of Today, the Parc next to the Park of the Century and the park itself. If you enter the park early in the morning, you will be able to see the Serpentine Lake and the Gracia Church rising above the trees.

The delicate ironwork in the arches and the folds of the trees forms an interesting and unique structure in the modern architecture of the city.

Park Guell

The next destination on our list is the remarkable Park Guell. Created by the famous Gaudi, this park is at the time still in its planning stages. However, if the planning is completed it will be an incredible park.

The planning is impressive enough on its own. After your arrival in Barcelona for your holiday, you can take a stroll through this park and enjoy your afternoon.

Gaudi has left his mark on the park with many interesting sculptures and a broken tile work that adorns one of the walkways. The broken tile work has earned the award of ' Monumental mosaic designer of the year ' for 2009.

So, if the Gaudi bookends your stay in Barcelona, or if you are at all interested in visiting his park, make sure you visit this unusual man-made landscape.
