Shopping in Colombo is a pleasant experience. The streets are lined with vendors plying their wares in the name of sport and casual shopping. But watch out; good deals are not guaranteed and they are best to try on your own.

Your choice of Colombo accommodation is wide ranging from plush hotels to local guesthouses and backpacker lodges. You may even choose to stay in a tree house built from reconstituted coconut rather than plastic.

Shopping is good in Colombo, varied and exciting. You can go to Galeria where you will find the usual range of shops, a highlight being the traditional Nakoda division, one of the oldest in Asia.

It is a well known tourist attraction that brings the wildlife of Sri Lanka to life. The park also houses the unique dusky leaf leopard that has been a long standing resident in the area.

The Mall Road is the area of Hermanus that is considered to be a center of art and culture. stores and restaurants are interspersed with ethnic and crafts shops.
