Top 5 Holiday Destinations
It’s already been two years since I moved here in the United States from the Philippines. Two different cultures, two different scenarios, and lots and lots of differences in everything. But the one thing that gives me excitement about living here in the US is the changes in season because when I was in the Philippines I only experienced sunny days and rainfalls.

I suppose I am lucky in that my children are happy to do anything. They usually enjoy whatever we do and are generally content whether having a picnic in the garden, going to the beach, visiting museums or taking part in more active pursuits like country walks or archery.

Ralph LarsenPublished 6 years ago in WanderVacationing with Children
When I hear people talk about vacationing with their children there is always this sense of dread in their voice. They always sound as if it is going to be such a hassle to travel with their kids. They talk as though they aren't going to enjoy any part of the trip. They talk as though it will be stressful and exhausting and nothing like a vacation at all.
Samantha ReidPublished 6 years ago in WanderTraveling with an Infant
For many people, life changes completely when you have a child. Some people become hermit-like, staying in their homes, no visiting others, and making their whole existence about their child. Others continue life the way they have always lived it.

I recently went on a small vacation to Hawaii—more specifically, the Big Island. We stayed just outside the town of Kailua-Kona in a tiny town called Captain James Cook. I traveled to this island with my Hubbs and his brother, sister-in-law, and his parents (gasp! vaycay with the in-laws!!!)
Pheobe ParisPublished 6 years ago in WanderThe Hershey Chocolate Factory
In Pennsylvania lies a small town that was once home to the first nationally distributed confection during the early 1900s, Hershey's Chocolates. Back then the small town was known as Derry Township. After Milton S. Hershey moved there, he got into big business using his milk chocolate formula, and really started to establish himself by building many of the town's buildings. Especially important to him and his wife Catherine, since they couldn't have children of their own, was The Hershey Industrial School for Orphan Boys. Today, it has almost 2,000 students—boys and girls—under its financially self-sustained educational wings, which are funded by the Hershey Trust Company. It is called the Milton Hershey School.

The capital of Latvia, Riga is divided into two banks by the Daugava River. On the right bank is the city side and on the left bank the suburban side known as Pardaugava or Over the Daugava. Both sides have lovely, green and lush parks. Some of the better-known ones I have written about.
Rasma RaistersPublished 6 years ago in WanderBeautiful Ocean City, MD
Imagine it. Sitting on the warm sandy beach with a drink and a book, occasionally glancing up to watch the kids ride the waves into shore. Beautiful blue skies with just the slightest ocean breeze keep the heat at bay. Watching the sunset from the balcony of your condo is amazing. This is what my family waits for every year. We love visiting Ocean City, Maryland. It’s about a 5-hour drive from most parts of the Hudson Valley. We usually make it a longer trip and stop at different places along the way.
