Cruising with Kids
Our family LOVES cruising. Every year for the last six years we’ve cruised, and one of those years we even went twice! We’ve cruised Alaska, Europe, California and the Caribbean, and we have no plans of stopping anytime soon. My son who’s seven began cruising at the tender age of one, and from our very first cruise it became clear that cruises fit our family perfectly.
Keisha Simpson-BakerPublished 6 years ago in WanderBest Family Vacation Spots to Visit
It can often be hard to find the best family vacation spots because not everyone will enjoy a vacation destination the same as the next person. In families of more than two, this can be difficult. That's why we have listed some of the best places for learning history, enjoying the sun, and simply getting some thrill.
Kelsey LangePublished 6 years ago in WanderMust-Follow Tips for Traveling with Kids
I have plenty of tips for traveling with children. It’s actually traveling with “child,” in my case, since I only have one. I love traveling with my son, Leo, who was born in August of 2010 in Nicosia, Cyprus, the easternmost island in the Mediterranean. We’ve done a lot of traveling in Europe, including tours of the Aegean, Athens, Israel, Milan, Venice, Vienna and Lisbon, which we visited in 2012 to see Bruce Springsteen play at Rock in Rio, and in the USA where, during the summer of 2016, we visited eight states! We’ve been on boats, in cars, on planes and on trains. We’ve eaten grilled octopus on a beach outside Mykonos Town and rode a gondola under the Rialto Bridge; we’ve swam in the waves of the Jersey Shore and picked blueberries in Rhode Island. And there’s plenty more to come.

Connor MountfordPublished 7 years ago in WanderCamping > Hotels
One of the few things that keeps us going when we don't like our jobs: vacation. It seems to be implemented in most of our DNAs, the urge to travel and explore. Now, I say most because there are those few that enjoy staying in the same place, and if that's your case, I encourage you to go out on a limb and have an adventure. The memories and experiences obtained from such an event are priceless and unforgettable, but to make them even better, go camping instead of staying in hotels. That's how you have a real adventure.

OK, so I'm not really sure how this goes, but I've wanted to try it out for a while now. So here goes. Where do I begin? I’ve been traveling since I was a baby. Travel has and always will be a part of my life. The wanderlust is strong in this one (my attempt at adding a Star Wars reference, but oh well).

Who loves to look at the creatures that live in the ocean? Now you do not need to live by the water to experience, and learn about the animals that live in or near the beautiful blue waters. SeaQuest is a new interactive Aquarium that has come to the shores of the Great Salt Lake in Utah. Located in the Layton Hills Mall, this new feature is establishing itself as an experience the whole family will enjoy.

It was a cloudy, creepy October afternoon. My aunt, my grandpa and I were driving down to Bangor, Maine from St. Agatha in order to accompany my grandpa to the hospital for heart surgery. We left St. Agatha around 9:46 in the morning and stopped at my other aunt’s to get brake fluid. We said our goodbyes and off we went.

Being pregnant isn't fun. There's morning sickness, the inability to consume alcohol, and that weird heaviness you might feel in your groin when you reach later months before the baby is born.

So you are thinking about going to Disney World. Or maybe you have a gone a couple of times and feel pretty confident. Fantastic. The biggest question is if you have started your planning and what are you going to do when you get there. If you have a ton of disposable income and throw money at the park, this article may not be for you as you probably have the park putting together your itinerary now. But if you are an average person and want to make this dream happen without breaking the bank, then this series is for you. You may still get some pointers over how to get the most out of your day for each park.
Tom SzostakPublished 7 years ago in WanderGriswald Family Vacations - Take 1 and 2
Take 1 Wally World... here we come... Look kids! Big Ben! Parliament! We are so the Griswalds..... So, I'll start with the good news. We were grateful to have made it from Southern California to Utah before sunrise. We left a little late, as often happens with the hustle and bustle of leaving the house with a family. Our 7 hour drive often stretches to 8 with traffic and sometimes even 9 with the frequent potty and refueling stops. So, we were quite happy to make good time and get there with some sleep inducing darkness left to help us harness the zzzz's.

As someone who has visited Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida four times now, I consider myself somewhat of an expert, as do other people. I find myself constantly giving advice, directions and have even been mistaken as a cast member a few times.
