Whether embarking on a Eurotrip or a weekend jaunt to a foreign city, European travel requires some smart planning; you may know all the must-see landmarks, but we provide the hidden gems.
What's That Smell?
We all know with every country comes its own quirky customs and cultures. Us Brits are the best for forcing our superior traditions on to "foreigners" with such barefaced yet subliminal effort. But the nation I've come to speak of today is a nation that has many customs that are widely accepted ways of behaving, but ones to which I find particularly strange. In what world is it normal to leave babies outside in sub zero temperatures? Nor is it appetising to eat the flesh of fish marinated in piss?

Our trip started out at our hotel, Hotel Gran Baita, with their signature cocktail, the 'Hugo', as we got to know the rest of our team for our e-biking tour e-powered by Bosc, where we also got to find out a bit more about this deliciously beautiful part of the Dolomites.

Found halfway between the Swiss-Italian border and the beautiful water features of Interlaken, Mt. Jungfrau can be found next to Eiger and Monch, with views of the Aletsch Glacier. Rotterdam, A Home Away from Home
This past weekend I did some travelling once more, this time to Rotterdam, and let me tell you, it was fantastic. Right now I’m at a crossroad in my life, perhaps another post soon will explain it, but for now, let’s focus on Rotterdam. But all I can say is that this city, that reminded me of both Lisbon and of New York, did wonders for my soul!

So you are in, or are traveling to Aarhus, and you want to know how to best enjoy your time while here. Having lived here nearly a year working as a masters student at Aarhus University, I have had my share of wandering the city looking for food. If you are looking for a guide that tells you the "Hottest Places to Club" this list won't be helpful. If you are looking for a relaxing, and perfectly contented time in the "City of Smiles" keep on reading.

It’s been a long time since I have had a word limit to reach before a piece of work could be submitted but I will do my best to write a salient piece of text that is at least as long as required while still being relevant and explaining who I am.

Jessica HerringPublished 7 years ago in WanderEverything About the Finnish Sauna Culture
As the destination of my first ever Erasmus experience, I chose Finland. I was aware of all the stereotypes about Finns and the country in general. The stereotype of the people being cold and not so talkative, the world-famous Finnish humor, and I was even warned not to sit down on the bus next to anyone if it is possible to avoid that as Finns might feel annoyed by sitting next to a stranger. These are, of course, only stereotypes. The locals I got to know are the most welcoming and warm-hearted people I have ever met—altough there is something to the point that they are usually not that chit-chatting type of guys when they meet strangers. But what I did not know is that all those ideas I gained about Finnish people go totally invalid when it’s sauna time.
