Summer Destinations

Every Summer, the world sees an influx of tourism. Stretching across the world, everyone tries to experience something new and foreign. Of course, millions of lists appeal to all types of people, like photographers, foodies, and book enthusiasts. Still, one demographic of people seems to be underrepresented when it comes to summer trips. This group is on the fringe of society but still is a part of society, Conspiracy Theorists. Call them crazy if you want, but they're still people who want to see the world, or maybe you're one of them and are looking for a trip to go on yourself. This list will appeal to the five most popular conspiracy theories and a destination they should go to.

Number 1, the Pacific Northwest

Do you follow Bigfoot news at all? Maybe you've seen him or thought you saw him. Well, if you plan on going on an investigative journey into the Bigfoot rabbit hole, make a destination for hiking trips in the Pacific Northwest. Go to beautiful Mt. Rainier, hike the forest, or check out Leavenworth, Washington, and experience authentic German culture. Portland, Oregon and it's a beautiful, fun city. Join the last bit of the Pacific Crest Trail, and maybe you'll find our hairy, giant friend Bigfoot.

Number 2, the American Southwest

Perhaps Bigfoot isn't your taste, and you prefer a more "out-of-this-world" approach to life than get ready for a trip to the American Southwest. In this area alone are some of the most mysterious U.F.O. and alien stories out there. Visit Roswell, New Mexico and see both the aliens' sites and the beautiful New Mexico landscape. If you like a more "men in black" take on aliens the visit Las Vegas for the Area 51 tour, where you can have fun in both the city of Vegas and the mountainside as well. Enjoy the location for the emphamous "Battle of Los Angelos" in L.A., and while your there, take a tour of Hollywood Boulevard. Maybe you like the heat and a humanoid reptilian believer, then visit Phoenix, Arizona, and the beautiful Sonoran desert or go south to Tuscon and Yuma. If you like aliens and U.F.O. history, go to the American Southwest.

Number 3, Mt. Rushmore, South Dakota

Do you believe that the government is hiding something huge from us? Did you watch National Treasure 2? Then perhaps you want to find El Dorado, the lost city of gold. As legend has it, this famous lost city is kept away inside of Mt. Rushmore in the Black Hills of South Dakota (as explored in National Treasure 2). Many secrets and theories pop up as to why the U.S. government would choose the Black Hills for such a monument, but many believe that this is where part of the U.S. government's gold savings are held. Maybe you'll find the back door while hiking just miles away from your Airbnb cabin in the forest.

Number 4, Colonial America

If you are a fan of government conspiracies but like things, a little deeper, visit Colonial America. This includes the Northeast states such as Washington D.C., Alexandria, Virginia, Baltimore, Maryland, Boston, Massachusetts, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, New York City, New York, and so many more. Take a look at the sites where they may or may not have been government inside jobs, secret cult meetings, or other conspicuous things. You're obviously qualified to do such investigative work, but take a break now and then look at the monuments in D.C. or the old courthouses of the now large cities. Endless fun for you in Colonial America.

Number 5, Antartica

Finally, explore Antarctica's tundra and prove to the rest of the world that the Earth is actually flat. Believe it or not, but pretty much anyone can go to Antarctica for a cruise and enjoy the freezing dreadful ice desert. Break off the group and journey to the edge of the Earth, take some pictures, then jump off. Maybe you don't prescribe to the flat Earth theory, but are a hollow Earth fan and want to find the entrance to the earth where you can locate the answer to all questions, or maybe you're a true Hellenist and what to shake the titan who holds the world up, Atlas', hand. Whatever your reasoning is for wanting to go to Antarctica, I believe it's logical and makes tremendous amounts of sense.

Now, I hope that that list helped and included everyone looking for a fun trip to go on this year. So what if you believe in conspiracy theories? You should still have fun like every other "normal" person out there. So get out there and explore the world and look for answers.
