The city of Jaipur and the Jaipur Palace a dream project of Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh came into existence at the same time in the year 1727. Jaipur is also known as the Pink city the Capital of the state of Rajasthan. Known for its Religious and Cultural richness it is a cultural events Hub attracting a lot of International tourists. The Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II shifted his official Court and administration to Jaipur from Amber. Jaipur

These women are all descendants of Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh, who created the trust in 1958. The trust oversees Jaipur’s two museums and four schools, as well as the work of the Palace School, which educates children of state employees.

The palace complex was completed in 1734 and it has several courtyards and buildings. The City Palace, which was the seat of the Maharaja of Jaipur until 1949, is a complex of courtyards, gardens, and buildings. The Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum are among the most notable buildings in the palace complex. The City Palace also has a collection of artefacts, armouries, and paintings.

The Jaipur Palace was built by Maharaja Jai Singh II in 1727 in order to impress the Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan. The complex contains many exquisite examples of Rajput (Indian) architecture. The palace lies in the heart of Jaipur city, to the northeast of the very centre, located at 26.9255°N 75.8236°E. The palace has been the residence of successive Maharajas of Jaipur and is now a major tourist attraction.

The Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh I (1727-1765) initiated the construction of the city complex by building the outer wall of the complex spreading over many acres. Initially, he ruled from his capital at Amber, which lies at a distance of 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) from Jaipur. He shifted his capital from Amber to Jaipur in 1727 because he felt that it was more practical to rule from a centralized location. The Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh I was a powerful ruler who initiated many important projects during his tenure as the ruler of Jaipur.

The Jaipur City Palace is a landmark of Rajasthan and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. The palace complex is made up of palaces, courtyards and gardens that date back to 1758. The Jaipur City Palace was commissioned by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II and designed by the British architect James Wood. The palace complex covers an area of 5.3 hectares and has over 160 rooms.

Jaipur, the capital of the state of Rajasthan, is one of India’s most fascinating cities and a must-see on any Indian travel itinerary. Known for its opulence, Jaipur is a city that is steeped in history, dating back to the time of the Maharaja Ram Singh. The ruler sided with the British in the Sepoy Mutiny or Uprising of 1857 and established himself with the Imperial rulers.

The royal family of Jaipur chose to continue living at the Chandra Mahal Palace even after the Jaipur kingdom merged with the Indian Union in 1949. This palace remained a residence of the royal family, even after the Jaipur throne was taken over by Man Singh II, the adopted son of Maharaja Madho Singh II.

Located in the north-western state of Rajasthan, Jaipur is the capital and largest city of the state. Jaipur city is also commonly known as the Pink City due to the predominant colour of its buildings. It is one of the three corners of the Golden Triangle tourist circuit, along with Agra and Delhi.

The Raja of Ameer Jai Sing II founded the city of Jaipur. His objective was to transfer the capital city of his kingdom from Ameer, 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) to the south, because of the frequent droughts in Amer. With the help of two architects from Bengal, Vidyadar Bhattacharya and Jai Singh's brother Vidyadar, he designed and built the city in accordance with the Shilpa Shastra, a Hindu treatise on architecture. Jai Singh sought advice from Vidyadar Bhattacharya regarding the essential layout details of Jaipur.
