How Does Moving to Costa Rica Completely Change Your Life For the Better?

Have you ever wondered why a sloth always seems to have a smile on his face? Do they know something that we don't know? What can we learn from them?

Sloths are one of the slowest creatures on the planet, yet they seem to always be content, full of joy & satisfied with life. .

One cannot argue that when in Costa Rica, embedded deep in a jungle setting. . perhaps laying on the beach. . staring up at the sky. . we are in a rather good situation. Anyone want to challenge me on this simple scenario?

What does Costa Rica have that makes us feel this way? How can a country, so tiny, have such a GRAND effect on us all? Why does the sloth have a smile on its face close to 100% of the time? Let's explore this situation together. .

Most of us come from a background of work, work and more work. Whatever we have accomplished in life. . whatever we possess. . most likely came from our earning it. Throughout the years, we have paid the price to get where we are today, whatever situation that may be. Time spent away from our families to go on that road trip to sell our goods and services. . late nights spent on the telephone or computer, setting up our appointments for the next day. . 20 years on the beat fighting crime and putting away the bad guys perhaps. . 12 hours a day building homes or digging trenches. Whatever our occupation was in the past, we have sweat, bled and have sacrificed so much to earn a living, care for our loved ones and hopefully have set ourselves up for a better life in the future. We only hope that it turns out that way for everyone.

All of this is of a normal scenario. And as we age, we reflect. . we look back on our lives and contemplate how we could have made it better. Did we always make the correct decisions? Were those forks in those many roads navigated properly. Did we hit our potential? What did we leave on the table? Did we waste time? Were we smart? Did we handle every situation properly? Of course not. . we're human. That's why we are not able to keep a smile on our face at all times. We have worries, , stress. . negative thoughts. Sure, we can be positive and emit good vibes to those around us, but not every minute of every day. . an impossible task.

How do we feel now, at this point in our lives? Are we totally stressed out? Do we indeed have deep regrets that are constantly eating away at our soul? Do we have any joy in life or are we totally worn out? Are we in a bottomless pit with no way to dig ourselves out? Will we ever escape from this deep and unforgiving rut? Is there any hope at all or are we on a road to nowhere? Life can get rough around the edges for anyone. . and sometimes it's not manageable.

Let's climb out of that dark, negative, burdensome, somber paragraph above that you just read. No need to go in that direction. Let's think of what happens to us when we're in a place that makes us feel happy and allows us to look forward towards a wonderful life in paradise. Together, let's find out why the lazy, sluggish, lethargic sloth always has a smile on his face. . always there for all to see and enjoy until the end of time. What does it know that we don't?

The sloth will take an entire day to move no more than 100 feet or so. They love to climb. They sleep in the trees, cradled on a branch, as comfortable as can be. It takes them 15 minutes to turn their heads to see what's going on over there! Heaven forbid if they need to swat a fly buzzing around their head. They don't swat. . they don't jerk. . they don't move quickly for anyone or anything. All they do is smile.

They seem to be very happy with their lives. They know where they are going and never look back. Their goal is to get higher in that tree and find some tasty leaves to munch on. They don't worry about from where they came and they have that wonderful, "Pura Vida" spirit that, by the way, can be experienced by we humans as well.

We all know what "Pura Vida" is. . living for today. There's no yesterday or no tomorrow. Sure we all have goals that we want to achieve. We count on a better tomorrow. We need something to look forward to. But, with that said, the mindset of getting to that end result is to simply do it day by day, step by step. . little by little. You see, because if we enjoy a PERFECT DAY today, then we set ourselves up to do the same tomorrow. When "tomorrow" comes, it automatically becomes "today". So we make an effort to make today better that the day before. In time, we build a strong bond with success, happiness and a sense of incredible accomplishment. It becomes a natural occurrence and it feels normal. As time passes, it gets easier to choose our friends, our pathways and it's an easy process to remove ourselves from any potentially-negative situation that could point us to a dead-end road or a wrong-way, one-way street.

Read that last paragraph over a few times. Let it sink in. "Pura Vida" is a powerful spell. . if applied properly to our lives, each and every day, we'll become one with the sloth. We'll enjoy PERMANENT SMILES on our faces. And when we notice that we're smiling all the time, we'll begin to attract those who are of like mind and spirit. Soon, we'll be surrounded by joy, exhilaration and wonder. We'll feel like a kid again and we'll be rich.

I challenge you to try this little trick. It's worked for tens of thousands of expats who thought they didn't have a chance of spending the rest of their lives enjoying life to its fullest. . every day being better than the one before. Maybe Costa Rica is your answer to this feeling of awesomeness. It might be the catalyst to the start of something magical. . a never-ending smile on your face. I sincerely hope it works for you!
