To climb Kilimanjaro is a great challenge and entirely feasible for the passionate traveler or keen walker looking for something interesting. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania is the highest peak of Africa and located at scrub-lands at the border of Kenya and Tanzania, It's height 5895 meters. Experts estimate that only 65% of climbers reach the summit of Kilimanjaro, but your chances increase significantly if you choose the right operator. It is compulsory to climb Kilimanjaro with a expert guide and better back-up in case of emergency.

If you planning a trip for Kilimanjaro, you must consider the atmosphere there. Generally, it is possible to climb Trek Mount Kilimanjaro all year round, but some months are more comfortable than others. January to March weather is cooler & not much crowded but June to October is the best month to enjoy walking on it due to summer holidays and no need to use warm clothes. To enjoy Mount Kilimanjaro, there are major seven routes & you may choose any one of them based on variety like difficulty, traffic, amazing beauty. Generally, all the ways take five to ten days approx. The routes with the highest success rate are those that take longer and ascend at a gradual rate.

Routes-

Marangu : It is knows as Coca-Cola route also. It is easiest route for climb. Despite its reputation, experts do not recommend Marangu because it is the most crowded and least scenic of the Kilimanjaro routes

Machame : Also know as Whiskey route.It can also get crowded, especially at bottlenecks in the rain forest section It is steeper and more scenic than Marangu and enjoys a better success rate. You'll need minimum six days to climb Machame.

Lemosho : It is mountain's newer routes, it comes highly recommended by trusted operators. It sees far fewer crowds than Marangu and Machame,This route takes atleaset six days to eight days. Success rate is high than Machame and Marangu.

Northern : This is also busy route, with magnificent scenery including elevated views into neighboring Kenya.It is newest route to climb Kilimanjaro. It takes minimum nine days preferable.

Rongai : It is the better way for raining days. It shows attractive Kenyan border from north side. Rongai takes six to seven days to complete.

Shira : This route nearly and identical of Lemosho. The only difference is that instead of starting trek from Londorassi Gate, climbers climbs up to 3600 meters by vehicle. This allows you to skip the initial climb way. it takes seven to ten days.

Umbwe : It is most challenging route of the Kili, Umbwe is only recommended for experienced climbers who are believe in their ability to comfortable quickly It has a low success rate. Therefore, it is also one of the least crowded and most visually impressive routes

Packing is an important factor when you plan for trip, especially on any mountain. You will need sun protection for foothill and warm clothes for the hill. A good sleeping bag, first aid kit and make sure your tour operator has an oxygen cylinder. Remember to carry spare batteries for your phone and camera and photocopies of your essential documents like passport and insurance etc.

Vegetation

There is natural forest spread in 1000 KM approx. Maize, beans, sunflowers, wheat are cultivated in the foothill area. Acacia, Combretum, and Terminalia are naturally flourished.On the southern slope montane forests first, contain Ocotea usambarensis as well as ferns and epiphytes.

Animals

Kilimanjaro has rare large animals found in lower parts of the mountain. Elephants and Cape buffaloes are among the animals that can be critical for trekkers. There are also some other type animals i.e. Bushbucks, chameleons, dik-diks, duikers, mongooses, sun birds, and warthogs etc reported there.
