Central Park

Central Park is the most well-known park in NYC, and probably in the world.

Start your tour of the park at the Plaza Hotel (South), this way you will immediately be captured by the beauty and magic of this place. In fact the view from this point is breathtaking and so great for photos. The Plaza Hotel was featured in many films, among films like Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. It will be fun to be Kevin McCallister for a day!

Times Square

This is the most famous intersection in NYC. It is situated in Midtown Manhattan, at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue. It is characterized by bright and colorful billboards and ads. You have to take a photo there, it is mandatory! It was the background of so many films, one of my favorites being Life or Something Like It.

If you are lucky enough to be in Times Square during New Year’s Eve, you will see the ball drop ritual.

Empire State Building

This is one of the most famous skyscrapers in the world. Counting its antenna, this building reaches 443 meters circa. There are two observatories, at the 86th and 102nd floor. To avoid the queue, visit between eight AM and 11 AM. It is open 365 days a year from eight AM to two AM (although keep in mind that the last elevator is at 1:15 AM). You can buy tickets online at esbnyc.com and they are valid for a whole year from the date of purchase. Oh, I almost forgot, this was Kong’s favorite spot!

Washington Square Park

It is located at the start of Fifth Avenue. It is characterized by the Washington Square Arch and a big fountain at its center. Right before the arch is where Sally (Meg Ryan) from When Harry Met Sally drops Harry (Billy Crystal) off. There are always some artists performing live music and people playing chess.

Dumbo (Brooklyn)

For all Once Upon a Time in America fans out there who want to recreate an iconic moment from the film, or even for the Instagrammers who want a cool pic! If you go to the corner between Water Street and Washington Street you can admire a glimpse of the Manhattan bridge and recreate this memorable scene.

Also, have a walk and check out the truly creative and colorful graffiti art in this part of Brooklyn.

66 Perry Street, West Village

Every Sex and the City fan’s dream is to take a photo in front of Carrie Bradshaw’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) doorsteps.

Bedford and Grove Street

The exterior of Friends (the famous American television sitcom) apartment is at 90 Bedford Street, the intersection between Grove Street and Bedford Street.

St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral

It is in Gothic Revival Style. The baptism scene in The Godfather was shot here and Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) received an honor here in the The Godfather Part III. Its graveyard was used in Mean Streets.

'Annie Hall' Film Locations

Annie Hall’s apartment is at East 68th Street and Madison Avenue.

Go to Pier 11 East River, Manhattan, if you want to recreate an iconic scene and enjoy an amazing view.

Museums and Art Galleries

Perfect to feed an artsy soul or even if it is just pouring rain outside

American Museum of Natural History

A Night at the Museum should ring a bell. If it doesn’t, you are missing out… the exhibitions include halls dedicated to biodiversity, the environment, birds, reptiles, amphibians, earth and planetary science, fossils, mammals, human origins and cultures.

Louis K. Meisel Gallery

Sex and the City squad, this is a spot you cannot miss! In fact, Charlotte York (played by Kristin Davis) worked in this gallery, at least until she met Trey MacDougal (Kyle MacLachlan).

This art gallery is dedicated to Photorealism and Contemporary Realist Art.
