Barsana is a small town that is located in Mathura district, and visiting this spot during the Holi should be in your wish list. It is one of those places where Holi is celebrated with full enthusiasm. If you go by the folk tales, Lord Krishna visited Radha’s village and playfully teased her friends, after which he was chased away with sticks. Keeping up with this tale and tradition every year, a few days before Holi, women from this small town welcome the men of Nandgaon with sticks.
