Living in Pittsburgh is one of the most interesting and rewarding things one could do and I would like to give you a few good reasons why moving to the Steel City would probably be worth your while. This is an honest review based on the 20 years I'd lived in the city and my internal thoughts regarding the people, culture and lifestyle you'll find here.

1. Pittsburgh is a Mid-size city

If you grew up in a major market like Chicago, New York Or LA, then you'll enjoy the mid size vibes out here in Pittsburgh. The different areas and districts in this Pennsylvanian City gives you a mixture of small town with friendly neighbors fused with a vibrant city that takes their sports seriously and have world class museums Like our Wharhol exhibit, Or Kennywood during spring and summer, there's a little something for everyone to do if you know where to look( City Paper) Explore our city and be amazed!

2. This is a sports City

If you're NOT into sports, then Pittsburgh won't be a place for you to stay. But if you're into football, and LOVE the Steelers, then welcome to Steeler's country. Our teams and sport franchises are bard none, some of the most dedicated and die-hard kind of sports fans around Pennsylvania. From exclusive tail-gating events near Heinz Field ( where the Pittsburgh Steelers play home games) from attending a Bucks game at PNC Park, you'll feel super welcomed in the Steel City. When your local football team is 6 time AFC Champion, egos get stroked. Be apart of a sports culture that other cities can't truly hold a candle in comparison and emerge yourself in the mantras and team chanting during home games and sporting events at our incredible sports bars. Pittsburghers takes their sports extremely seriously as you will discover mist living among them. Get your terrible towel ready and swing it above your head! It's GO TIME!

3. The People

What city wouldn't be possible without the hard working people who live in it? You'll find most locals who grew up in Pittsburgh to be among the most hard working and generous in the region. Folks here are blue service workers. They work hard by day, Go to the bar by night and come home to their family for supper. They're proud to be from the 412,their heritage and neighborhoods. They ain't world renown like the residents in Los Angeles or New York, and neither aren't setting trends that eventually make rounds across the country 3 years later but you know what? They're your new neighbor, you're best drinking buddy, a good friend. Afterall, Mr. Rogers mentor each and every one of them as a child, and have instilled values of kindness and respect among fellow humans. I guarantee you one thing, they're one hell of a neighbor if you want them to be.

4. The food is unique.

Ever had a Big Mac? yeah that started in Pittsburgh before it became a Mcdonald's thing. Or how about adding fries on your hoagie? Pittsburgh offers unique cuisines borrowed from immigrants and local infused inspirations. Pierogies,Heinz Ketchup, Chipped ham,Primanti Brothers nd The Pittsburgh Salad just to name a few.

5. Dialect

When in Pittsburgh, talk like the locals speak. Theyre native tongue is quit interesting in the way and pronunciation of things and nouns. For Example, instead of calling a stretchy elastic Rubberband, it's replaced with Gumband. Locals like to refer a vacuum cleaner as a sweeper. Rather than saying "yall" they often just say Yinz or yinz guys, or "what Yinz doing?" There's a few distinctive dialectal differences you'll notice such as calling Soda a POP.

I hope you enjoyed the 5 reasons to visit Pittsburgh. Thanks for reading.
