The Asian continent is a beautiful melting pot of different cultures, religions and experiences. It is a destination favorite for many tourists from across the world. Known for its perfect beaches, tasty cuisine and very affordable prices, there are so many unforgettable memories to make on this tropical paradise.

You don’t have to rack your head over which one is most interesting or over the fear of missing out. I’ve put together a list of the most awe-inspiring Asian attractions that you should try out when visiting there. Here are ten of them:

Ha Long Bay, Vietnam

A must-visit, especially considering that it is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There are over 3,000 islands for you to explore here. What’s more? The inhabitants number about 1,600 people who live in floating villages.

Tiger’s Nest Temple, Bhutan

Let’s get spiritual shall we? Next up is the sacred monastery also known as Taktsang. It’s already impressive that it is built on a rocky cliff 3,000 feet above the Paro valley. However, the background story to it will leave you even more mesmerized. According to legend, some 1,300 years ago, Guru Rinpoche materialized on the back of a flying tigress and converted the Bhutanese to Buddhism at this place.

Tanah Lot Temple, Bali

Still on the temple thingy, the Tanah Lot Temple is another must-visit. This temple also has a spectacular setting on top of an impressive rock overlooking the sea. It is one of the seven sea temples located on the coast of Bali and has been contained in Balinese mythology for centuries. It’s also said to be one of the most famous and sacred Hindu temples.

Danxia Landform, China

China is known for many interesting things. One of them is the beautiful Danxia Landform landscapes. It is made up of a red bed and steep cliffs formed out of red sandstone and strong forces. This location has also got some bragging rights as it was added to the World Heritage List in 2010.

Rainbow Family Village, Taiwan

Yeah, you read the name right. Rainbows, family… this is almost paradise. It all started sometime back when an old man began to paint. His name was Huang Yung-Fu, also known as Grandpa Rainbow (yes, for real). One day, he came up with one particular burning mission and that was to make the village more colorful. The rainbow family village is a beautiful place with a unique story. You just have to see it for yourself.

Banaue, Philippines

There is a small town in the Philippines known as Banaue. It is made popular by its rice terraces. Rice terraces may not be all that spectacular to you but you might have a change of heart when you learn that they’re handmade. They’ve been around for many years now and are even a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Siem Reap, Cambodia

The Angkor Wat temple almost immediately comes to mind whenever you hear of Cambodia. This famous site can be found in Siem Reap, the capital of the province Siem Reap in Cambodia. There are also many more interesting places to visit here such as temples, museums, the Old Market and the Cambodian Cultural Village.

Bokeo Nature Reserve, Laos

Nature, waterfall and a primate thought to b extinct… This is all you get on the experience of the Bokeo nature reserve in Laos. This nature reserve has one main job - to protect the black-cheeked gibbon. You also get to enjoy a beautiful waterfall experience which includes three hours of trekking along the Nam Nga River. The thrill is unmatched especially when you come face-to-face with the black-cheeked gibbon, which was thought to be extinct.

The War Memorial of Korea, South Korea

If you’re not averse to appreciating some historical heritage, then this is the right spot for you. It is the former site of the army headquarters containing six indoor exhibitions and over 13,000 memorabilia outside. The combat experience room takes things up a notch as you get to experience different situations that soldiers went through during the Korean war.

The Grand Palace, Bangkok

Visiting Bangkok wouldn’t be complete without taking in the beauty of the Grand Palace. This is one of the biggest and most impressive temples in Thailand. What’s more? The Palace is very significant to the Thai people and is widely considered the most sacred Buddhist site in Thailand.

So, which of these wonders will you be visiting?
