Women suffer in silence.

Human beings are confined in their hypocrisy as usual, how can we celebrate women for one specific day only? The same woman who risked her life in order for you to be born, yet you dare celebrate her strength for only one day? In this so called world of equality where governments champion the bliss of achieving gender-equality and equal opportunities, women have to suffer in silence. The patriarchy is kicking and ever-present in our society, be it casual sexism or even the unwanted opinions that women have to listen to at work. We try to canalise our girls to accept the rules of the male dominated world by legitimating the inequalities that are produced by the bigoted norms of the patriarchy.

Parents reinforce the delusional aspect that are made by the Disney movies where they showcase all the princesses being happily married with a prince. Patriarchy tries to produce that same image by forcing women to engage themselves in a relationship where they suffer constantly. The media shows to us the pictures of the bride dressed in her white dress, but what about domestic violence? What about marital rape? Oh no, how can they criminalise marital rape because the woman is legally married to her partner which means she does not need to give her consent. The cruel world of patriarchy renders the female gender into mere puppets, they are forced to act accordingly to the regulations of this male-dominated society, they cannot voice out because they know the consequences. Therefore, the society shuts them up and alienates them from their basic human rights.

When she is dressed in a tight dress, when she is out at night, you try to slut-shame her and taint her reputation. Some women are used as coping mechanisms to satisfy the sexual frustration of men, they are treated as only a sexual entertainment within the family frame where their career are put at stake, they jeopardise their own life by giving birth to other products of the patriarchy. Women tend to internalise the thought that motherhood is a bliss, it is their rights whether to have children or not. But raising a child and that came child becomes the oppressor of women contributing to extend the patriarchal enclosure, how can you call that a bliss?

Women's rights are baffled all around the world, the metanarratives that we were told during our childhood justify disturbing values of the male world.

Why do you tell a woman to cover herself from the male gaze? Why should a woman cover herself? Why can't a man change his mentality to get rid of his toxic masculinity? Why do parents violate the rights of their daughters and encage them in a world of sexism? If we want change, it should start today! Be the game changer and shake the patriarchy by defying the toxic masculinity of men. Why there should be barriers in a girl's education? Why a girl should stop learning early and get married?

When it comes to rape, we blame the victims. The society disrupts the moral stability of the victim by responding with a "they deserved it" statement. Why does the society blame rape victims because of the way they were dressed or even because they were not in the right place. Humanity fails to respect the rights of women and their importance in our lives. Women are termed to be an object in society, men do not value women for her strength or even respect the fact that she is as well a human being and a contributor to the country's economy. Why does society blame working mothers for juvenile delinquency? Why not the children themselves? Women are not able to achieve justice in courts because the patriarchy restrains them and baffles their basic rights.

Also, huge respects to the men who contribute massively to equality within the society. Men who help in household chores and give a helping hand in taking care of the children need to be applauded. Men who shook toxic masculinity and the patriarchy in itself need to be celebrated .
