How to Change Your Self-Image
Disclaimer: To all who want to comment, "your self worth should come within," please refrain. It's not an overnight process & internalized criticisms skew our thoughts. Seeing the reality that you are loved is a step towards increasing your self worth.

S.A Crawford wrote a vulnerable and revealing piece on her recent diagnosis of PCOS (otherwise known as, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome). And the outreach of women who were all echoing the same sentiment that I did had me sitting with my eyes wide, and heart hurting. But also really proud of all the brave women who are willing to share their stories and the pains they endured to comfort Crawford and let her know she wasn't alone.

As women, as mothers, many of us can look at this mama bear and we relate immediately and deeply, like a swift punch to the gut.

SACRIFICIAL LAMB The late afternoon sun worked its way through the filthy attic window and drifted lazily down onto the stack of boxes that loomed in front of me, silently challenging me to get to work. One more chore to check off on the never-ending list. The funeral arrangements, check, flowers, check, notified family, friends...I didn't know my mother's friends and hadn't been about to search her cluttered desk for an address book. That would be too organized for my mother. She likely kept phone numbers on bits of paper, scattered amongst other bits of paper. My sister, Carole, wasn't inclined to search either, so we'd put a notice in the paper, check. Met with the lawyer about her will, check, canceled credit cards, check, and bank accounts, check. Every one item spawned two more, it seemed. And now we were faced with her house; a lifetime of stuff we'd have to pick through and decide what was garbage and what not, check.

Sam The Doula (Blooming Miracle)Published 7 months ago in VivaA DAY IN MY LIFE!!!
A DAY IN MY LIFE!!! I am a girl child who belongs to South India. I don’t know about other countries but in our country we will have some strict traditions and customs. That was the day when I got my first period. I still remember that day, that is why people say that we won’t forget the days which are very sorrowful. So, I got my period when I was in my School hours and one of my friends caught me bleeding. After sometime I got to know that I got my first period and it was obvious in any woman's life. My parents took me home to perform some rituals and everything got well and good. We usually get periods after every month, So, when I got my next period, I as usual came from school and told my mom that i have got my second period. She immediately took me out of the house and said that you should not come directly into the house. I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING!!! After the second month I got to know that OKAY! I should follow some rituals to live in this house LOL!!!

And if you already know them, then you might have something to add. If you have a daughter, or niece, or female students, then this is absolutely for your consideration. It is likely that a girl would prefer to get a commemmorative gift from her mother, or another female relative. The other stuff? They need that from both parents.
