The little black book

The summer was always a good thing to Ranus, it reminded him of the city back home before he decided to living in a jungle would be cheaper... and besides he doesn’t even know where his family is. He was adopted by this pretty old couple since birth and they’ve only made it to 11years of being his parents. He was now alone , living on his own while trying to understand the meaning of nature. He studied the trees , the gorrilas, and the wood peckers that picked at the tree. HIs favorite bird was the bluejay. While studying birds and animals he noticed that bluejays were determined and such sweet creatures. He made that his favorite way to end the day. Year and years went by as his journals filled up more and more. He always reached in his sack to look at his parents knowing they would be so proud of him for making it this far. For every animal reminded him of how strong humans were actually built to be.

“Time to go hunting,” he put the bluejay on his right shoulder as he made his way through the leaves and dirt. The dirt felt soo good on his feet for it was a natural way of cleaning his soft manly feet . You see, in the real world sugar scrubs are available but in Ranu’ses world the jungle is his oyster.

The sun began to set, and the jungle suddenly became cooler than it has always been. The wind hummed and howled . Not much warmth was provided to Ranus for he was use to this . The uncertainty of the jungle was what kept him alive.

A light flashed startling all the animals (including Ranus). They looked at him for he was the leader of the pack, the only human that could ever get that close to such creatures. Ranus jumped, unraveling himself out of his bright blonde golden locks. His blue eyes seem to sparkle in the moonlight and his eyebrows raised in curiosity.

He slowly followed the light leading him to a fishermen’s boat.

This is my ticket out. My time to finally go share my experiment with the real world . My time to make a living for myself. How do i say goodbye to such creatures that showed me the true meaning of life?

“We got , a few hours guys” the fisherman growled.

“Ok cap, no problem!”

Seeing how these humans dressed Ranus tried putting on his clothes that seem to no longer fit. The way they spoke sounded different to how he taught himself. Their grammar were horrible, don’t they have books still out in the real world? Or did they run out of supplies to make such heavy paged books.

Ranus slowly made his way on the boat hiding in the back where all the oil were stored. He found apples, oranges, and grapes and ate them all . They ere so rich and fresh, it almost reminded him of Jungle Lala (at-least that’s what he called it).

The men started burning this paper with a brown top and complete ignored the big leak in the middle of the ship of the ship.

The boat began to sway back and fourth.

“Trouble on deck guys”, his belly flipped around like a fish as he tried steering the boat . The boat started to overflow as Ranus swam and splashed around. He loved the water. As they fought to swim a big wave swooped all them on dry land.

They choked and coughed , and complained about how their pack of paper thingies were all ruined.

“Wait look here, “The youngest fisherman pointed at a statue. It had horns on it as it pointed up.

What a wonderful artifact.

“We just have to swim”

“Ugh, young boys, we can’t swim buddy . We have to make a boat out of something and use paddles to get us to New York !”

I decided to come out behind the tree, “Orrrr we can use these rafts and those logs to create our boat. Scientifically speaking , it is possible to get us far enough to swim to dry land”.

“Wait! Who are you? Why why are you naked?”

I smiled shyly .

“Gentlemen we found a smart apeman! We are going to to be rich” “Well technically i’m not an apeman, I am human just like you guys”.

“His English is so proper, What you brought a whole bunch of books with you to a jungle or something ?” his belly kept wiggling .

“”Yes , actually”

I showed no emotions for like animals humans get a little intimidated.

“ Alright guys lets just listen to apeman over here and get out of coocoo lands”.

They all went about their own way looking for flat door like wood and logs , some even found plastic ropes. They

spent hours working on the boat, and eventually completed their task.

“It should be good ” Ranus hopped on top of the baot.

They all looked in confusion and followed Ranus on top of their mini boat. They paddled and paddled until they couldn’t anymore. Atlast , they landed in New york city.

“That’s final destination guys”.

They hummed and dance to a weird melody as they got off the boat happily.

“Fisherman Fisherman, Fisherman, did you make it ? The skies are blue and Elavatedddd”. Ranus just stared because you know what? Humans are very similar to animals , just different ways of communicating.

Everywhere Ranus went everybody stared. Teenage girls would be amazed and point at how hairy he was. in fact, he was so hairy he didn't even need clothes. Ranus was upset. He did not understand that he was an icon. Instead he mistaken the curiosity of human beings to something that it really wasn;’t. I’m pretty sure the jungle animals felt the same way at first.

Ranus ended being by himself. He had no friends, family, not even food. He was very hungry. Every store he went to, they pushed him out for it was considered stealing in the real world to walk out with a bag of oranges. Ranus definitely missed home, where he was free, full, and needed.

“Roof!” the chuwawa barked as he hoped in the garbage can.

Ranus ran trying to help the dog thinking that it was in trouble. As he looked in the trash can ... there laid tons of fruit and a bunch of other food that reminded Ranus of the jungle. Ranus rummaged through the can and ate as much as he could while taking a piece of everything and

handing it to the puppy he just met. They sat for hours and just ate. The trash can was clean... well almost. At the bottom of the trash can there was a little black book. The puppy left happily wagging his tail. Ranus decided to take the little black book and open it.

There was a note, “To who’m it may concern, heres a card full of money. The balance is 20,000$ and use it wisely. We believe the right one will come across this. So go enjoy life with, peace, abundance, and prosperity. Sincerely your angel (pin 1234)”.

Ranus couldn’t believe it. He finally had a card to swipe like the rest of these humans. He was finally a humanbeing.

The same way he studied the animals at the jungle, he spent a few days studying humans. The way they dressed, walked, and looked. Ranus wanted all of that.

As months went by he started looking like a human more and more. He got a brizilian wax, a haircut, an apartment, even a job.

He was missing something though. A family ! He was missing a family and wanted his own so bad . He hired an agent to look for his real family , months went by and they couldn’t find anything. He ended up meeting this beautiful girl at his job and expressed his feelings of needing a family.

“Well you’re a handsome man. How about you take me out to eat”, her brown eyes shined mysteriously as her brown hair matched her dark brown skin. She looked so perfect in his eyes.

They went out on more dates and on the one-hundred and fifty eighth one, Ranus proposed. “Yes, I will marry you. But who will walk me down the aisle ? My family disowned me , I have no one”, she began to cry.

“I don’t either. Maybe it’s time we change culture up a bit?” his eyebrows raised in hope “Sounds like a plan love,”.

They decided to get married in town hall, and she moved in with him. Ranus has never experienced love before so they looked on youtube on how to make babies.

They practiced and practiced until...

“Babe, we did it! I am pregnant!” Monica jumped on her husband as they danced the night away.

Ranus never found his family , but thats okay. He has Monica and is baby. They had each-other and you know what? They’re going to make it worth it !

Thank you little black book for you helped me become everything i have ever dreamed of.

The end.
