3 Things That Made Me Feel Grateful This Week

A seamless journey to Florida

After our last holiday back in November, I was honestly so grateful that this journey went smoothly. I didn’t want the boys first long haul journey to be any more painful than it had to be.

We got to the airport in plenty of time, we boarded on time & landed slightly early. They were a little tired and bored but that’s to be expected. I’m just hoping our journey home is just as smooth.

Visiting 3 amazing theme parks

This week, we’ve visited all 3 Universal parks; Universal Studios was our first, which was amazing, you walk through streets of New York City Harry Potter and Simpson’s to name a few.

Islands of Adventures has something for everyone, there is a land for toddlers with Dr Seuss, a Marvel section for the superhero fans and yet another Harry Potter part where you can get the Hogwarts express between Islands of adventure and universal studios.

Volcano Bay, which I admittedly didn’t see much of as I wasn’t feeling great, but what I did see I loved. You need to get there pretty early to get a sun lounger with a parasol, which fortunately we did. The boys loved it and we are planning to go back next week and I’ll be going on some of the more gentle water rides such as the lazy river.

The rides are all well spaced out and the Universal app is great as you can see a map of the park, the wait times and set alerts for the rides you want to go on. My only criticism would be the queuing systems for other things such as food & drinks, it’s just a free for all and my British self cannot cope with this!

Having some downtime

I know a lot of people hit Disney/Universal on a daily basis and I honestly do salute you as I don’t think we would cope. We took advice from the parenting hell podcast and alternated park & pool days. It does mean we have to sacrifice some parks, but I think for the sake of our sanity, it was for the best.

What are you grateful for this week? ❤️

3 Little Intentions I'm Setting This Week Before Coming Home From My Holiday

Pitch some articles

Ok, I need to stop being a big baby and actually put myself out there. I’ve been using the holiday as one of my “excuses” of which there are many, but now the holiday is coming to an end and so is the money I have put away.

It’s time to start bringing that dream to life and that’s not going to happen with a pile of ideas hidden away on my laptop.

Meal plan

I want to plan the meals for the husband and I for out first week home, firstly so I know what food to order for the shopping delivery and secondly so that we can make sure we have some healthy, normal sized meals

Set up LinkedIn profile

Much like the pitching of articles, this one keeps getting put on the back burner. Enough is enough now, I’m a grown woman and need to stop letting the what ifs get the better of me.

Not only am I going to face the music, I plan to sing along.

What are your intention for the coming week? ❤️

5 Things I’ve Seen & Heard This Week Including A Way To Earn As You Spend & An Exciting Crime Series

Being on holiday has given me plenty of time to read, listen and watch things and I write this very post as I lounge around the hotel pool.

If you would like to watch fairytale for adults

I rewatched Collateral Beauty on the plane. Will Smith plays Howard, a man broken by a personal tragedy. He spends his time writing letters time, death & love, whilst his concerned friends, played by the brilliant Ed Norton & Kate Winslet, try in vain to help him recover. It is a beautiful and moving story, something we all need to see.

If you want to listen to the new Luther Vandross

I put my name down for karaoke on holiday thinking I might sound ok amongst the usual candidates. Then Sterling got up. This man sounds just like Luther Vandross! We were chatting to him and he has entered several singing contests such as Pop Idol & X Factor but for some unknown reason, he didn't get through!

If you want to earn money whilst you spend it

Use TopCashback. I use this whenever I buy something online. Pretty much all retailers are on there, I’ve earned £150 from here already and have withdrawn £60 which was transferred straight into my bank account, it’s mad not to be using it! They are currently doing an offer if you use my link about, you will receive a £10 referral bonus.

If you want to read a gripping crime series

I’ve just finished Flesh & Blood by one of my favourite authors Caroline Mitchell. It’s the 4th book in DI Amy Winter Series. If you haven’t read any of them, why not? The first book Truth & Lies, will have you hooked!

If you’re looking for a new activity

The Good Trade have listed 99 Things To Do Instead of Drinking Alcohol don’t worry there’s plenty you can add alcohol to if you want to, I’m thinking of the trying the DIY facial

Song Of The Day - If you missed it, here’s this week’s playlist.
