Molly Davis - Central Michigan

Molly Davis got off to a slow start this season after posting an amazing average of 20.1 points per game and shooting a career high .502 from the field in 2020-21. This season she averaged 17.1 points on .381 shooting in her first 10 games. On New Year's Day, game 11, Davis scored 32 points with 10 assists and five rebounds in a win over Northern Illinois.

On Dec. 29, against Buffalo she posted 23 points and 12 assists in a loss. Davis shot 10-17 that game. Those games were her first two double-doubles of the season. She is averaging 5.2 assists after the first 11 games of the season, which is a career best.

Camilla Emsbo - Yale

Yale's 6-5 forward, Camilla Emsbo is having the best season of her career. She is averaging 16.2 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.7 blocks and 1.3 steals per game. In a win over Army, Dec. 28, Emsbo scored 18 points and pulled down 12 boards. She also blocked a season best six shots in the home victory. The performance was her eighth double-double of the season. She started the season with seven straight double-doubles from Nov. 9 to Nov. 28.

Tamari Key - Tennessee

Tamari Key is in the midst of her best offensive stretch of the season. The 6-6 center who is known for her defense hit an offensive low going 0-3, scoring one point on Dec. 18, in a loss to Stanford. Since then she has shot 19-26, averaging 15.6 points, the last three games.

In a win over Chattanooga, Dec. 27, she scored 18 points with seven rebounds and two blocks. She shot 8-10 in that game. On Dec. 30, Key swatted five shots while posting her seventh double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Nylah Young - Hampton

After starting the season 1-6, Hampton has won four straight and Nylah Young has been a major reason for the team's success. The 5-11 sophomore forward led Hampton to a 14-point win over North Carolina A&T, Jan. 1, when she scored a season high 30 points. Young made 11 of her 19 shot attempts and also shot 8-10 at the free-throw line. She showed up defensively with five steals, while also collecting five rebounds.

Young has been on a roll the last three games, averaging 24.6 points, nine rebounds, 3.9 steals and one blocked shot per game. She has also shot .541 from the field and .818 from the free-throw line during that stretch.

Desi-Rae Young - UNLV

UNLV's Desi-Rae Young is continuing to make her mark as one of the better young centers in college hoops. On Dec. 28, she shot 7-11 to score 14 points with nine rebounds in a road win over Fresno State. Three days later, Young scored 15 points with seven rebounds in a home win against Wyoming. The 6-1 sophomore is averaging 16.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game. Her scoring average is up from 12.3 points per game as a freshman.

Meral Abdelgawad - Western Kentucky

Egyptian senior guard Meral Abdelgawad is having the season of her career. Since Dec. 5, she has scored 30 points or more in three of her last five games. The most recent was Dec. 30, when she posted 36 points in a victory against Southern Miss. Abdelgawad shot 13-18 overall, including 5-9 from three. She also made all five of her free-throw shots. With nine rebounds to go along with five assists and two steals, she just missed a double-double.

On Jan. 1, Abdelgawad posted 16 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and four steals in a win over Louisiana Tech.
