College basketball is in off-season mode but that doesn't mean we can't look back at the talent that made the 2021-22 season a success. Let's check out some of the women that you may or may not know but should on the hardcourt.

Dre'Una Edwards - Kentucky (Baylor Transfer)

After a sound start at Utah during the 2018-19 season where Dre-Una Edwards averaged 11.6 points on 54 percent shooting, her numbers dropped when she transferred to Kentucky. During the 2020-21 season Edwards averaged 9.7 points and her minutes dropped from 23 per game to 19.6 when she was at Utah. Last season, Edwards got her opportunity despite starting just 12 times in 26 games, the 6-2 forward from Las Vegas averaged a career high 29 minutes while posting 16.8 points per game on 52.1 percent shooting. She also pulled down a career best 8.4 rebounds per game. Edwards who has 1,002 points over her first three seasons posted four of her 12 double-doubles in the month of February. One of those February performances was a 30-point 10-rebound outing in a win over Missouri where she shot 73.7 percent from the field. From Feb. 13 to Feb. 27, Edwards scored 20 points or more in five of six games. Edwards will compete during the 2022-23 season at Baylor.

Sidney Cooks - Seton Hall

With stops at Michigan State and Mississippi State, forward Sidney Cooks found a home with Seton Hall. The 6-4, native of Kenosha, Wisconsin had the best season of her career with highs of 15.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots per game. Cooks scored 32 points with 10 rebounds and seven blocked shots against DePaul. She made 15 of 22 shot attempts during that contest. To most players that would be their top offensive performance of the year, but Cooks bested that with a 35-point, 10-rebound effort against Butler. She hit 15 of 20 shots in that game. Cooks helped Seton Hall get to the championship game of the Women's National Invitational Tournament. During a one-point semifinal win over Middle Tennessee, Cooks led the way with 28 points on 10-13 shooting, including a perfect 4-4 from three-point range. She collected 12 double-doubles for the season.

Cheyenne Stubbs - Canisius

A 5-5 guard from Bradenton, Florida, Cheyenne Stubbs completed her first season as a reserve at Canisius. She had her first big moment as a collegiate player when she shot 3-4 from long distance on her way to 13 points, leading her team to a win over Detroit. In Canisius' first game after the new year Stubbs scored 14 points with seven against Niagra. She canned four of her six three-point attempts in that contest. From Jan. 22-29, Stubbs had a five-game stretch where she shot 5-11 from three making 45.4 percent of her shots from beyond the arc. Her next and final big shooting performance of the year came against Rider. Stubbs scored 15 points with six rebounds and three assists in a game where she drained three of her five three-point attempts.

Ashlee Lewis - Cal State Fullerton

Ashlee Lewis is a 6-1 center at Cal State Fullerton who had a solid second collegiate season. She started 28 of 29 games last season posting career highs of 9.7 points per game, 5.7 rebounds and 47.8 percent shooting from the field. Lewis, a native of Cerritos, California scored 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds with two blocked shots in a season opening win against Southern Utah. She dominated the paint with 29 points in a victory over San Francisco. She shot 13-19 in her highest scoring game of the season. Her next highest scoring game was a 21-point effort against San Diego. In that contest, she had eight rebounds, four blocks and two assists.
