Restructuring the NFL
We have not added a new NFL team or a new State to the Union in a long time, but let's focus on the NFL. So, we should add 8 more teams to the NFL to make it 40, take two of the games from the pre-season and make them regular season games, realign the divisions to make them make more sense. Let's dive into the pre-season games.

Clash of Clashes
I'll be honest, I had long been over last year. How the Colorado Avalanche showed out in the playoffs, only to be cheated by referees who decided to allow Dallas' dirty hits while putting us in the box for simply breathing. How the Stars had a coach who continued to bully refs into ignoring their dirty plays, and who would bitch and moan when a game was fairly officiated and rightful calls went against the Stars. How for every one power play the Avs had in that series, the Stars had about six. And how Mikko Rantanen delivered the ultimate humiliation with a Game Seven hat trick.

What Went Wrong: It's Not Always Sunny in Philadelphia
You know, we have spent the entire season so far enjoying the Kansas City Chiefs' downfall, and rightfully so. They started 0-2, got back on track winning back-to-back games, but then, they were defeated by a Jacksonville Jaguars team they had bested forever. Chiefs are 2-3 and are on the verge of being knocked down a few more pegs than they already are.

CFL Week 18 Recap: The Wild, Wild West
I bring good news to my fellow American CFL fans: the Grey Cup is again airing on CBS Sports Network here in the States. This is Year Three of the Canadian Football League's relationship with CBS Sports Network, after several years on the ESPN networks, which in turn, followed their years on the now-defunct NBC Sports Network. Ever since the CFL first hit CBS Sports Network, games that don't air on the channel air on a stream site known as CFL+, which is for fans in the U.S. and other countries outside of Canada. 2023 saw the entire playoffs (including the Grey Cup) air on CFL+, but last year saw the Grey Cup air on CBSSN.

Somers Plays its Cards Right in 2-1 Victory Over Greeley
Photos are at end of article On Friday September 5, Somers and Greeley were knee deep in a defensive struggle at the high school. A 1-1 game with eight minutes to play, Somers lined up for a penalty shot, and at this point in the season, Coach Brian Lanzetta paused on a strategy. “It’s early to show your cards,” he said. But a league game, versus a AA team, the moment got the better of him.

John Jay Settles for a Tie at Somers
See Photos at end of article On Monday, September 15, after Lily Mazzella gave Somers a 1-0 lead with 33:21 left in the half, Coco Inglis answered 70 seconds later, and the rivals seemed headed for their second tie in two years. So when a pack of Wolves got behind Olivia Tatela in goal, the short road trip seemed ready for celebration.

NFL Week 5 Recap: Popping the Champagne Early
It's always fun when a league enters a new month. MLB in October means postseason and the road to a championship. October means the beginning in the NBA and NHL. Even in the Canadian Football League, October is the home stretch. In the NFL, October starts the end of the "it's early" talks. While it's still too early to panic, it's a tad too late to take things for granted. Don't believe me? Ask the Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles.
