Dec. 8 Florida 60, Dayton 57 Florida (8-3) took care of the ball and forced Dayton (6-3) to make more mistakes in ball handling as the Gators won a close contest at home.

Ole Miss 75, Cincinnati 63 We travelled down to Cincinnati (4-4) on Sunday to get an up close look at Ole Miss (8-1) versus the host Bearcats. We wanted to see Shakira Austin, Ole Miss' 6-5 senior center with our own eyes. She didn't have her most dominating offensive day, scoring just eight points, while shooting 3-7, but we saw her value by being a long, agile player with diverse ability.

Nov. 28 - Dec. 4 Bethy Mununga - South Florida The 6-0 forward is rebounding in phenomenal fashion. Bethy Mununga grabbed at least 20 boards for the second straight game. She hauled down 20 rebounds against Utah, Dec. 2, to go along with 13 points. She also shot 6-10 in the contest, scoring 13 points, with two steals, two blocks and two steals. Over her past three games she has blocked seven shots. In the first five games of the season she recorded just two. Mununga is averaging 9.6 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks for the first eight games of the season.

Let's have some fun on this one. Athletes are realizing the power of social media and here we will feature our favorite women's basketball players from Instagram. Some of them might be big time talents, others may be role players or even bench warmers but here they all get love. They are intelligent enough to use social media to bring more exposure to themselves, their team and the sport and that is nothing but a positive for women's basketball.

Temple 49, Georgetown 47 After starting the season 2-3, Temple (4-3) has recovered with wins over Villanova and Georgetown. The two-point road win came courtesy of a 22-9 fourth quarter run as Temple's Mia Davis posted a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double. The Owls sent the Georgetown crowd of 221 fans home in heartbreaking fashion. Georgetown was up 40-27 at the beginning of the final quarter but Temple's shooting came alive as it shot 8-14 (57 percent) in the fourth period. Temple shot an awful 1-14 in the first quarter and a combined 7-26 in the second and third quarters.

Nov. 21-27 Jasmine Dickey - Delaware Jasmine Dickey is currently leading the nation in scoring at 28.3 points per game. The 5-10 senior guard/forward averaged 34 points per game in three contests last week. On Nov. 21 she led Delaware to a win over Charlotte posting 31 points and six boards. Five days later she scored a whopping 48 points making 19 of her 36 shot attempts in a victory over Eastern Michigan. Dickey cooled down to score 23 points in a win over Chicago State. She posted her third double-double of the season in that game, while dishing out three assists, collecting two steals and a block.

Nov. 26 No. 18 South Florida 57, No. 7 Stanford 54 After losing to its first two nationally ranked opponents, South Florida rose up to defeat No 9 Oregon and No. 7 Stanford in less than a week. The Bulls' win over Stanford came at the Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship in Nassau, Bahamas.

Nov. 25 Mississippi State 65, Dayton 54 Rickea Jackson posted at least 20 points for the third time this season as Mississippi State (5-0) beat Dayton by 11 points in a win at the Daytona Beach Invitational in Daytona Beach, Florida. Jackson's 20 points was a game-high. Myah Taylor scored a season high 16 points for the Bulldogs, shooting 7-12. The 5-7 senior guard had five rebounds, and a steal. Anastasia Hayes continued her double-digit scoring streak alive as she posted 11 points. The transfer guard who starred at Middle Tennessee State during 2020-21, has not scored less than 11 points this season. She is currently averaging 15.2 points per game. Last season she averaged 26.8 points. Denae Carter led the Bulldogs with nine rebounds off of the bench. She also had two blocks and four points.

Nov. 24 Georgia Tech 65, Hofstra 32 Lotta-Maj Lahtinen drained all three of her three-point shots on her way to scoring 15 points as Georgia Tech beat Hofstra on its homecourt.

No. 1 South Carolina 73, No. 2 UConn 57 Aliyah Boston led South Carolina to a big win over UConn, scoring 22 points with 15 rebounds. She shot 10-19 from the field in the win as seven of her 15 boards came from the offensive end. Guard Zia Cooke scored 17 points for South Carolina, while her backcourt mate Destanni Henderson led the team with six assists, six steals to go along with 15 points. Center Kamilla Cardoso came off of the bench to grab six rebounds, with four points and a blocked shot in 12 minutes of action.
