10. Lions
The Lions are down five spots from last week, but they are still the best one and one team. Of the one and one teams, the Lions have the most impressive win and loss. They beat the Chiefs and were cheated in the Seahawks game. They went blow for blow with the Seahawks, and then, in the moment of truth, Hutchinson was held right in front of the ref, preventing him from sacking Geno and allowing the Seahawks to win the game. So, there is no reason to cool off of the Lions.
9. Commanders
The Commanders are undefeated. Who saw this coming? The Commanders drew one of the worst teams in the league in week one, and although they struggled, they still got a win. In week two, the Commanders had an impressive game against the Broncos. Realistically, the Commanders shouldn't have been in spitting distance of a tie, much less a win. The Commanders have shown grit early in the season. Because the Commanders have a young QB, they have a lot of room to grow. The Commanders will get even better, which makes it even more impressive that they have remained undefeated through their growing pains.
8. Falcons
The Falcons have won in back-to-back games. Desmond Ridder has looked pretty good in these games. Ridder looks like a gamer. He has mobility and the ability to make big throws in clutch moments. Then there is Bijan Robinson, the Falcons ace who has been everything we expected him to be. The Falcons defeated the Packers, who looked good in week one. Now the Falcons are undefeated, and the Packers are off the power rankings. This Falcons team looks much improved from previous years.
7. Bucs
The Bucs were the eleventh team in last week's top ten power rankings. They are one of the nine remaining undefeated teams, and they have given Bucs fans a lot to be excited about. The Bucs' defense still has big play ability, and Baker Mayfield has proven that he has the ability to unlock the Bucs' offense. The Bucs have an excellent opportunity to win the NFC South.
6. Saints
The Saints are up four spots since last week. They remain undefeated and have beaten a divisional opponent. The Saint's passing game was less impressive than week one, but their running game and defense took over, and the team did what they had to do. One of the most impressive things about the Saints is how many avenues they have to win games. They have a very deep roster.
5. Eagles
The Eagles missed the power rankings last week because they got a sloppy victory against a weak opponent. The Eagles still don't look like they did last year, but they are undefeated, just like last year. They ran over the Vikings just like last year, and the Eagles show the potential to get back to where they were. In fact, with the emergence of Swift, they could be even better than last year on the ground.
4. Ravens
The Ravens rebounded this week on offense and easily beat the Bengals. We are two weeks into the season, and the Ravens haven't really had to sweat yet. The Raven's defense is top-tier, and the offense is getting on track.
3.49ers
The 49ers looked mortal against the Rams, but they still won by a touchdown. It was surprising that the Rams were able to compete with the 49ers, but they are division rivals whose coaches used to coach together. Still, Brock Purdy remains undefeated in healthy games, and the 49ers march on after beating the Rams yet again. Also, a huge plus for the 49ers is that they have gotten off to a strong start, unlike last year.
2. Dolphins
The Dolphins look like the best team in the AFC with the MVP of the league, Tua. In game one, the Dolphins showed they can create big plays in a hurry and win a shootout. In game two, they showed that they could be patient and slice and dice and even run their way down the field. The Patriots took the overtop plays away, so the Dolphins ran the ball down their throat. The Dolphins had control of the game the whole time and continued to look like world-beaters. Tua remains undefeated against the Patriots.
1. Cowboys
The Cowboys remain the number one team in the NFL because of their defense. The Cowboy's defense has dominated in back-to-back games, and I don't see that stopping anytime soon. An underrated part of the Cowboys beating the Jets is how well the offense played against the Jet's elite defense. Everything is going the Cowboy's way right now.
