The most successful college sports programs completely dominate the college level of not only football, but every sport imaginable.

From the University of Florida to Duke University, these are the most successful college sports programs to portray some of the best athleticism on the collegiate level. From football to basketball, volleyball, swimming, track and field, and golf, these colleges have mastered it all, and have proved their ability as being some of the best schools to dominate the college level of sports.

With such incredible college athletic programs and training, these schools only set their athletes up for success, growth, and even fame. With some of the top athletes in the country on their current roster as well as alumni, these colleges have certainly made a name for themselves.

University of Florida

The University of Florida takes number one on our list of the most successful college sports programs. Their placing is regarded by their placement in all three of the Southeastern Conference All-Sports titles of the 2016 and 2017 season. A history maker, the University of Florida was the first school to achieve all three of this conference's titles.

It was, in fact, the 16th time that the Gators had managed this victory. Run by a board of directors led by the athletic director and chief financial officer, the athletic association is impressive, to say the least, featuring a mission of incorporating operating and improving all of the athletic programs and facilities. A budget of $103.3 million, the funding is entirely through revenues and Gator Boosters.

University of Alabama

The University of Alabama is next on our list of the most successful college sports programs for many reasons. Winner of the NCAA championship title a total of four times, the University once had Derrick Henry on their team, who now is a running back for the Tennessee Titans, as well as Shaun Alexander and the legendary Joe Namath.

Sweeping victories throughout the years, the University of Alabama has one of the most established college sports programs in the United States, and not just for football. The men's golf team won two NCAA titles, and the women's gymnastics team has won two back to back victories in their fifth and sixth ever NCAA championship.

University of Texas at Austin

The Texas Longhorns represents the University of Texas at Austin. As one of the most prominent athletic programs in the world, the University of Texas' Horns named their team after the importance of what Longhorn cattle did for Texas' development, still to this day being the official large animal of the state.

Rugby, rowing, volleyball, golf, track and field, softball, baseball, basketball, and football are all prominent teams who have brought home countless numbers of trophies. With Darrell Royal coaching the football team, the national championship record for the team lies in four claimed and nine unclaimed, plus 32 conference championship wins, seven divisional championship wins, and 27 bowl game wins.

Stanford University

Stanford University of California's sports program is yet another one of the most successful college sports programs for their 23 consecutive Learfield Directors' Cups, which no school has ever come close to beating the record for.

The 2017 NCAA championship for the women's water polo team as well as the women's diving and swimming team proud great pride to the sport's program as well as Simone Manuel and Katie Ledecky being proud Standford representatives. Also known for their success in tennis, John McEnroe was one of the most legendary tennis players to come from the school.

University of California

The California Golden Bears are one of the best athletic teams on the college level. Representing the University of California, Berkely, the Golden Bears has 30 varsity athletic programs as well as other club teams in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division.

Another college that has a great track record for water sports, the Golden Bears have both men and women's swimming and diving NCAA titles, plus victories in the men's water polo and women's crew rowing championships. Plus, 12 golden medals in the 2016 Rio Olympics are attested to Berkeley students.

University of Connecticut

The Connecticut Huskies are one of the most successful college sports programs. A member of the NCAA Division and the American Athletic Conference, the football team plays at the Rentschler Field while the basketball teams play at the Harry A Gampel Pavilion and the XL Center.

The UCON Huskies have 11 NCAA championship titles under their belt, and the women's basketball team is very well known in the division, dominating the varsity sport for 25 plus years. Plus, they have even appeared in the Final Four 18 times, as the only women's team that is Division I to have won four NCAA titles consecutively.

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

With six NCAA tournament wins, the Villanova Wildcats' men's basketball team have one of the most legendary alumni of all time, the one and only Michael Jordan. The college's women's soccer team even have 21 NCAA championship titles under their belt, which nine of which were won over consecutive years.

Plus, the lacrosse teams are also one of the most respected in the league. And their Fetzer Field is known for the US track and field team's training base for the 1996 Olympics.

University of Oregon

Next on our list of the most successful college sports programs is the University of Oregon, which is most attested to for their track success. The track and field program has been both successful for the men and women's teams, and they are some of the best in the United States.

With seven NCAA indoor championship titles, the men's team has even received NCAA titles in the 2007 and 2008 competitions. Referred to as "the Carnegie Hall of track and field," the Hayward Field is one of the best in the nation.

University of Arizona

The University of Arizona's Wildcats have one of the most recognized softball programs on the collegiate level. With eight NCAA titles to their name, the University of Arizona has been recognized for their success for over three decades.

Plus, their men's baseball program has earned one NCAA title, and has been in four Final Fours. And, they are notable for their two-time Super Bowl champ, Rob Gronkowski, as well as the MLB All-Star Trevor Hoffman, and Amanda Bear, the Olympic swimmer.

Duke University

Last, but not least, on our list of the most successful college sports programs is none other than Duke University. Home of the Duke Blue Devils, the sports program is most known for their men's basketball team, taking home a record of 19 ACC tournament trophies. The Blue Devils have almost made the NCAA Tournament Final Four appearance a handful of times, and have claimed a total of five national titles throughout the years.

Plus, the women's basketball team has brought the college pride as well, winning three ACC championships since 2010, plus earning the runners-up in 2017 and 2014. And we couldn't forget about men's lacrosse or women's golf, both teams being NCAA championship winners.
