History of Umrah Pilgrimage and What Significance It Holds?
Umrah journey was first started by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in 629 CE, when He along with His 2000 followers traveled to Makkah to perform Umrah. He faced struggles negotiating with tribes in Makkah and Madinah. Go Big or Go Home
Last year was an amazing ride for me on Vocal. I went from mostly silent to publishing almost 36k words here (not counting all the crap writing that didn't make it)! Twenty-four stories, seven of which made top story, one that made runner up for one of the challenges, and one that made it to the final round for Vocal's annual writing awards. I feel so blessed. It's hard to put into words the euphoria one feels when seeing something they've worked hard on being enjoyed and at times praised by people who don't owe you a thing.

The Elephant in the Room
So, what do I want from Vocal in 2024? I really thought that 2023 would be the milestone year. I turned 50, lost certain people in my life both famous and personal. It was the anniversary of certain other events in history that were commemorated and discussed in the media. It was an ugly and sad year which I wanted to be over.
