If walls could talk, I’d have secrets to tell, biographies to share, love poems to write, stories that I’d probably keep to myself. Not all words need to be spoken. My voice may have changed lives, lives could have been saved. History I stand in silence and do my part to support this old house.
A Forgotten Tale
Verse I If walls could talk… “You again. What do you want?" "Me again." Then silence. It takes two to tango, and the same goes for a conversation. Well, mostly. Kind of depends on whether or not a talking wall constitutes one of those two conditions. One living and breathing individual initiated a line of questioning once again followed by the wall issuing its distorted response accordingly.

If walls could talk, maybe I could have saved them. They’ve never fought like this. I loved being their safe space for quietly sitting in bed reading- one occasionally leaning over to kiss the other’s hand or cheek. The softness they shared was a joy to witness and only seemed to grow until today. Even being a third party I objectively couldn’t tell what changed and it confused me deeply.
