We have to get control of our country before it is too late

Or we won't have a country to leave our children and grandchildren

We are now living in the twilight zone. We are placing criminals on the street, because of a disease that is ravishing a large part of the country and the world, while placing business owners in jail for trying to feed themselves and their families. You can go to jail for not wearing a mask, but it wasn't good enough to give convicted felons, they had to be released for their safety. Meanwhile, rapists are rapping again and one has even killed his former victim. Bars are not allowed to opened and neither are gyms or fitness centers, yet, large scale protests and riots are allowed to happen with no repercussions. The police are under attack in this country and there seems to be no end in sight.

The craziness is astounding and we are sitting back and watching it happen. Celebrities are celebrating the deaths of officers and innocent civilians, while also paying dividends to known criminals and even buying golden caskets for them and paying for their funerals. They were more than happy to offer condolences to a known drug dealer and user, and they admonished the cops who killed him. One of those cops deserves to be in jail, maybe two, but not the rookies. Meanwhile innocent blacks are being killed but because they support Trump and are protecting a business they starting there are crickets. A five-year-old child was riding his bike and was executed by a black man for absolutely no reason. Where is Shaun King who claims to be a voice of change and righteousness? He is noticeably missing in the conversation there. Why? Is it because he is a deep-seated racist himself? This child has never done anything to anyone and he was executed for nothing. Not to play that card, but where would the media be if it was a white man who had executed a five-year-old black child? The state would be on fire the second it was reported and rightfully so, but because a black man killed a white child, it's accepted as collateral damage.

Where is this kid's golden casket? Where are the 7 public funerals with televised coverage and celebrities stepping up to pay all expenses and the public outcry? There is no rioting, there is no outrage. No one is going around and trying to get change enacted and not one politician is speaking on this act extreme cowardice and evil.

This is not acceptable. It will not continue to be tolerated. ANY child regardless of race should be protected and the perpetrators of any such crime should be prosecuted swiftly and harshly, regardless of race. As far as defunding the police is concerned, do it and see how far you get in society. The cities would break down into total chaos in hours and there would be no one there to stop it or help when you were victimized. If this is truly what you want, I suggest you go to Venezuela or some other country and leave us here alone. Our politicians are using safety and police officers as political fodder and gain. No one should be used for that purpose. However, we have hit a point in this country where id a politician says it, it must be taken as the gospel and there can be no argument.

There is a disease going around the world that has no end in the foreseeable future and all that be done is to argue over what is the appropriate masks and whether children should be in school and how much to pay people to stay home. It's simple, yes masks work so wear them, children should be in school, and people should get back to work. Paying them to stay at home is wrong and it will create an entire generation of people who are dependant on the government. This may be the goal in the long run, but think about what this will do to freedom in this country.

The bottom line is this if the people are afraid to take our country back, then it lost to the annals of history forever. We will look back on our history and it will be only a distant memory. Our children will tell their children and grandchildren of the times when they were free, and they will think it is a pipe dream. It is up to us to make sure that doesn't happen. If we stop in-person schooling, start paying people to stay at home, and abolish the people who are charged with enforcing our laws and keeping us safe, who will make sure the bad guys in Washington D.C. are abiding by the rules? We should much more afraid of our politicians and the criminals they seem to want to give free rein over us than we are of anything else. Our culture is at stake here. Our very way of life is at stake here and if we are not careful we will lose everything we have for the appeal of things that at the end of the day, don't really matter.
