Trump's "Chinese Virus" Comments are Simply Trollish
People have been quite vocal about the usage of terms like "Chinese Virus." While I have to admit I find it amusing that people have an issue with such usage. After all there are many other diseases that are named after regions, such as MERS (Middle Eastern Respiratory Syndrome) and Zika, which is named after the Zika Forest in Uganda. Does anyone think that MERS is antisemitic or Islamophobic?
Daniel GoldmanPublished 4 years ago in The SwampCan You Please Address The Racism?
Dear Mr. President, I am very concerned that as COVID-19 becomes more of a pandemic in this country, it will serve to fuel the already-present pandemic of racism that has swept our nation for years now. I fear the words you use when you refer to this virus as "the Chinese virus." Mr. President, viruses do not have an ethnicity. But people do. And your speech links this virus to people of Chinese descent (and really, all Asians worldwide). In fact, you normalize the fear of individuals who are as American as you or I by categorizing a virus as being "Chinese."

Commentary Trump just cannot help himself. He appears to be hard-wired to default to his white supremacist/white racist history and mentality every single time adversity strikes.

President Trump arrived in India for his first official visit "Namaste Trump" to the world’s largest democracy, kicking off a whirlwind 36-hour tour on Monday emerged from Air Force One to an embrace from Modi while traditional folk music from Gujarat state -- complete with blowing conch shells and persistent drumming -- began echoing. Women with rainbow flower strands stacked atop their headdresses danced to the rhythm.

An Open Letter to Trump On The Environment
President Trump, I fail to understand the reasoning behind your disregard for preserving the continued habitability of our planet. As a father, I would assume you are possessed of the basic paternal inclination to ensure the security of your own progeny. Yet, you disregard all subjects of environmental concern with a casual and disinterested contempt which can only be called lazy, arrogant, and entitled.
Walter RheinPublished 4 years ago in The Swamp What Happens When Your President is the Most Dangerous Idiot in the World
I don't think any thinking person would have predicted Donald Trump's response to the coronavirus crisis would be appropriate. For those of us who've never exactly had high expectations of our Idiot-in-Chief, we were, sadly, not surprised.

In case you haven't noticed oh moron of morons, the words up there are in German. A language that you aren't willing to learn about from a country that you hate. But then again that's all you do because you are just that pathetic.

“Loyalty to country ALWAYS. Loyalty to government, when it deserves it.” ― Mark Twain The Beginning Politics have never really attracted me. I’m not sure why, it just didn’t feel right to be involved. However, I always paid attention in a detached sort of way. Even before I knew it consciously.

President Trump is a different kind of President. Make no mistake about it. That was why so many people voted for him. He was honest. He used language we could all relate to. He insulted the establishment, put them in their place, he stood up to anyone who tried to insult him, with insults of his own. He called them out on their lies. His supporters loved him. He was one of us. He spoke like a construction worker, which is basically what he was. He spent over 60 million of his own money to get elected.

No? Are you sure? Okay, we’ll use the screen. Don’t, Mr. President please, you cannot touch the screen. Mr. President you’re not allowed to hit and I will leave and you will be by yourself again. Is that what you want? No?
Diane RandlePublished 4 years ago in The SwampAnd the Oscar Goes to... Donald Trump
“For his leading role as the President in Season 1 of the Whitehouse, the 2019 Best Male Actor and Lifetime Achievement Award goes to Donald Trump. This wasn’t a difficult decision for the panel as there really wasn’t any competition. His opposition have repeatedly failed to produce a show that is worthy of watching and poor casting has led to unbelievable character portrayals that have consistently been outperformed by the winner.

Dear Mr. Trump, I have one word to share with you that if used as a root instrument, would solve the majority of the world’s problems. That word...love. We live in a world where many are looked down upon and treated less than based on the color of their skin, or where they’re from, or who they fall in love with. What should be looked at is what is in the heart. We are all equal, and should be treated as such.
