Socialism needs dis-satisfaction

Socialism needs people to be downtrodden.

Socialism needs dis-satisfaction.

If the general population is reasonably content with life, then socialists will not win elections, they know this and so they seek to cause discontent. If they cannot persuade the population that they are all poor and illtreated, then they encourage mass immigration to bring in people more likely to believe their message.

There is an assumption among the political left that “the poor” (they have an ever-changing definition of what is “the poor”) will vote for socialists. This is why the Guardian, that mouthpiece for British champagne socialist middle classes, is constantly claiming suffering and deprivation in the lower income groups. Odd really, because these lower income groups do not read the Guardian, it is read by people with above average incomes. The BBC recruits its staff by advertising in the Guardian and so it follows that politically, the BBC is now almost a slave to “Guardianista” thinking, it is also why it appears to show utter distain for popular public opinion. The state bureaucracy is managed by people from this same relatively small social/economic group. Which is why this, unelected, section of British society wields so much uncontrolled power.

Socialism needs people to be victims. They do not want people to be proud to be British, they do not want there to be any level of satisfaction, they do not want people to feel they can progress and prosper. it needs people to believe they are only poor due to the actions of others, they need people to feel they are deprived, due to “privilege” granted to others, and never due themselves or their own decisions and actions. Socialists need a large dependant, disenchanted group of people. They need this in order to feel superior, in order to gain control over such people, offering leadership, but imposing control once leadership is gained. They need large numbers of dis-satisfied people who may be fooled into a vote for socialism. So, they seek to generate (or import) such a group.

Socialism leads to Stalin and Pol Pot.

Most socialist also have an assumption that people born into lower income families will always stay socialist, this is a false assumption. My parents were the most wonderful people in every way, but they were poor by any definition. They met while both servants in a manor house; I spent my formative years living on a council “sink” estate. I owe my education and medical wellbeing to the state. BUT I have a brain and I was educated to use that brain, I was educated to reject propaganda and think things through from first principles, to examine claims and subject them to evidence and history. I supported Maggie Thatcher in her efforts to bring Britain into the modern world of reality. I vote for Priti Patel for the same reason. All politicians have human faults and failings. But reality and pragmatism have to be the basis for government, not some selected section of idealism.

Socialist do not want people to think for themselves and decide for themselves. In some ways it seems contradictory to suggest socialism and giant global business are working together, but the political doctrine of the state –(some collective entity other than the individual person)- provides all needs, and the marketing forces that are driving the consumer society; have worked together to make far too many people act as if they really do believe that their personal well-being is provided by others. Far too many people seem to think their health and fitness is the responsibility of the government. This is the objective of socialism; they want people to think their personal happiness is the responsibility of other people.

There is a a view, among many people, that happiness is purchased. Entertainment is delivered. Education is imposed, not sought after. Experience is second hand, virtual, sanitised to make safe to accept. Duty is what other people have to make everything easy. Responsibility is to be evaded. The law is a means of evading personal responsibility for self-care.

Such thinking leads to a one-party state, that claims socialism, power to the people, but is in fact fascism disguised.
