Start writing...NGOs plays an important role in the social development of a state, nation or community. For the proper development of a particular country or a region, it is very important to bring education and awareness to the people about their rights and duties. Serving the society as their mission, Ramagya Foundation has emerged as one of the best NGO in India for its longstanding and transparent efforts of providing an environment to the most vulnerable sections of society by uplifting them economically, socially, mentally, emotionally, and leading them towards rewarding lives.

With its inception in the year 2014, Ramagya Foundation began its works on sustainable progress, peace, and justice towards completion of social commitments. Ramagya Foundation works on the model of ‘Community Focus and Ownership’. The model requires doing assessments and talking with the community while planning a program. Each community faces different obstacles and designing programs around these unique needs to make programs more effective and efficient. Over the years, Ramagya Foundation has maintained a diversified portfolio, working in the areas of education, health, skill development, animal welfare, and community development with programs focusing on vulnerable population.

Ramagya Foundation works extensively for raising voice for the animals in need of food, shelter and life-saving treatment. Integral to Ramagya Foundation, Nishabd is a young, dynamic and zealous organization that advocates for animal welfare, especially for stray dogs, which have been ignored at large in our community. Nishabd has fed more than 40,000 stray dogs so far.

In the education sector, their goal is to provide quality education to the children belonging to marginalized communities as education is an important tool that enables the decisions in their lives resulting in improvement in social status. In this regard, they have taken multiple initiatives to empower children with education. Umeed is an initiative to provide primary education to the children who are out of school by inculcating the learning abilities and confidence to enrol in mainstream education. At Unnati, they provide quality education directives to children through a learning-by-doing approach so as to encourage the inquisitiveness of a child’s mind. Saatrang is a program to bridge the gap between the unexplored talents and empower them by streamlining their skills through professional guidance. The program is for children within the age group of 6 to 16 years who have no access to creative learning. Another initiative ‘Sanganak’ targets computer literacy for children from the Government and Community schools. It focuses upon up-scaling technological knowledge in the fields of computer literacy and helps them match steps with the growing needs of technical abilities.

The Foundation has also pledged to encourage women’s empowerment with its Urja program that focuses on mainstreaming girls towards education. The purpose of the initiative is to identify gender-related issues and look for suitable measures for the same. Prior to this, Ramagya Foundation in association with the ‘Rotary Club of Noida’ had launched ‘Pink Taxi Program’ for girls of 18+ years of age from economically weak families to get involved in learning driving to become independent travellers for the means of developing financial independence.

As theatres or performing arts are the heart of kid’s learning, Ramagya Foundation believes in providing impeccable life-skill training by hands-on experiences to unearth the theatrical ability of children. As part of their ‘Pankh’ initiative, they organize theatre classes and enhance their vocal and behavioral training through life-skill lessons.

Ramagya Foundation is managed by a board of advisers comprising individuals from diverse backgrounds and experts who are committed to sculpt the individual’s soul by imparting values and enhancing the living standards through their programs in order to contribute towards the development of an educated society. Ramagya Foundation has been recognised for its work with many prestigious awards like NGO of the year and Best CSR practices award.
