People Call Me a Liberal, As If That’s An Insult

One thing I openly own and love about myself: I’m a bleeding heart liberal. I care for all people who are good humans. The marginalized groups of society are my family. I love the LGBTQ community. I don’t give a good goddamn whether you have a problem with that or not.

I quit worrying years ago about what people think about me if it’s negative. I know what I stand for, the things I believe in, and the people who matter to me. If you have an issue with me being against racism and bigotry, go fuck yourself.

I don’t mind people who have different values and viewpoints than I do. You have the right to believe in whatever you choose. As long as it doesn’t hurt others, especially those I care about. Stay in your lane, and we’ll get along just fine.

Admittedly, I prefer to hang around people who are like-minded regarding acceptance. My family and friends care for others. We stand up for marginalized groups. We don’t support those who act ignorant, hateful, and pushy about forcing their conservative or religious beliefs on others. Those people can eat shit.

If you care for others and accept people of differing races, colors, creeds, and orientations, then we’ll get along great. Bonus points if you are intelligent, funny, and don’t take issue with a bit of colorful swearing.

To those who have called me a snowflake, a commie, a socialist, or a liberal, read a book. You are not intelligent enough to even realize that a liberal person cares for others. They have empathy. They are not trying to steal the rights of others who don’t agree with them in terms of politics or religion.

Here is the dictionary definition of the word “liberal”, not the Fox News spin of it. There’s a difference.

For a party that hates being controlled and wants their freedumb so badly, you’d think they’d be tired of being dictated to by Faux News. I’m not sure what the appeal is about people yelling during the entire newscast, but most conservatives sure seem to hate anyone talking shit about Fox News.

Ditto about Donald Trump. For such an ignorant, ridiculous, unintelligent, crooked man, you’d think the party of law and order would be anti-Trump Or that they’d at least stop giving what little money most of them have to his idiotic fundraising. Trump is NOT your friend. He’d have nothing to do with you in real life. But keep getting conned by him.

When you call a Liberal a commie or a socialist, we laugh at you. You aren’t intelligent enough to understand what either of these terms actually means. Calling other Americans that because they care about others and don’t want to see people suffer is ridiculous.

That’s our thing. We CARE. Because we care about the poor, the hungry, the veterans, the homeless, the elderly, minorities, and LGBTQ citizens, you feel the need to hate us? Because we don’t want to hoard all of our money, pay fewer taxes, and support racist and bigoted politicians, you think we’re horrible people?

I get it. Most of you are afraid of losing the self-perceived power that you don’t actually hold. You don’t want to end up being at the bottom of society’s totem pole. But with the lack of education most members of the GOP have and the constant paranoid, irrational beliefs that many of your members have, you’re already at the bottom.

Because you choose to hate instead of love, you are below us. Because you want to strip women of their own reproductive rights, you are not on our level. Because you want to force anyone who doesn’t worship the god you choose to worship, you are weak.

If your one source of pride is your inability to tan, you’re ridiculous. The fact that you admire and worship Donald Trump shows your lack of common sense. Denying science as it relates to things like climate change, Covid vaccination, or even wearing a goddamn mask in public to help your fellow Americans makes you pathetic.

So go ahead. Call us commies or socialists. We’ll keep laughing that you don’t know the definition of either word. As more and more of your supporters are revealed as criminals, mass shooters, and general all-around assholes, we’ll keep holding the power over your kind.

It is going to be our pleasure to watch Donald Trump have to testify in the many criminal and civil cases against him. I for one cannot wait to see how he looks in prison oranges. Hopefully, he’ll get a cellmate who doesn’t appreciate all of the hateful shit that has flowed from his garbage hole over the past 8 years or so.

It’s not too late to join the liberal side. We have room. We are accepting. We are kind. But we sure as fuck are not weak. We’ll make room for those who are all for anti-racism, bigotry, sexism, and homophobia. We will band together to be better than the deplorables who support these kinds of things.

The election is coming in early November. I’d love to see all women vote blue. I cannot believe that some will vote red because their husbands or churches tell them they must. It’s ridiculous to be controlled by either.

Let’s put leaders into power who care about all citizens of the United States, and not just about the white ones, the Christians, or the racist bigots. America is a melting pot of all types of differing people. It’s about time we acted like a country that gives a shit about everyone. &:^)
