Orange Cult Politics

The Cold War era saw the rise of the Red Scare, a period of hysteria over the perceived threat of Communists in the U.S. "The Red Menace" and "Red China" are also associated with identifying communism.

Today, the GOP is known as the Red Party. It was not always that way, but at some point, a graphics person decided red went better with Republicans. The Grand Old Party, which used to be the conservative party, the party of law and order, is now overtaken by the MAGA and QAnon groups and leaning toward fascist leaders. RED. It FITS. It fits LIKE A PERSONALLY FITTED GLOVE.

Infidelity is a regular theme in the far-right Christian GOP world - more than once with many of their leaders. Trump cheated on his wives with girlfriends and his follow-up wives.

Melania, the former First Lady, is 1) an immigrant and at one time was illegally in the country, and 2 has nude photos circulating all over the internet (some of which Putin just recently ordered to be posted again). Nude photos are not the problem. It is the GOP's self-professed and loud rantings about Christianity and its required proper behavior. None of the loudmouths treat others kindly or think twice about lying and spreading falsehoods about others – all in the name of power. They are hypocrites – the Huckabees (and what a laugh that he wants to send a hypocrite "Christian" to Israel as Ambassador) are hypocrites. Newt Gingrich (remember him?) cheated on his wife during the Clinton impeachment! Recently, he chastised people for telling women that hiding for whom they cast their ballot from their husbands was improper. Really, Newt?

The Tea Party and Freedom Caucus have changed the GOP. Now, the GOP leader acts like a mob boss, using code words and expecting total loyalty. Good leaders want their staff to tell them all sides of the story and give their opinion if requested. Good leaders have people with extraordinary experience beneath them, experts in their field. Bullies are not interested in anyone but themselves.

Another fine pick by the duly elected orange leader is Hegseth. His lawyer, Parlatore, said a payment was made to the woman as part of a confidential settlement a few years after the police investigation because Hegseth was concerned that the woman planned to file a lawsuit that could have resulted in his firing from Fox News (another popular host on that nefarious network). When the 2017 accusations came out, Hegseth, 44, was getting a divorce from his second wife, breaking apart his family of three children. His ex-wife filed for divorce after he had a child with a Fox News producer, now his wife – this is according to court records and social media posts Hegseth made. In 2009, Hegseth's first marriage ended due to his cheating (according to court records).

Whoa, buddy, please do not testosterone up with nonsense like "they can come after me," but he does not want them coming after loyal followers of the Orange Mar-A-Lago cult or good Christians. Really? They follow the RED Brick Road, paved straight to hot hell. Yes, in their minds, it is okay to do horrid things and then ask for forgiveness.

Hegseth mocks transgender servicemembers and claims the military is turning off recruits. He believes women cannot serve in combat next to men. He has a tattoo reading "Deus Vult" that has been used by white supremacists. He has also shown support for members of the military accused of war crimes, criticized the military's justice system, and minimized the January 6th attack on the Capitol.

And then there is Gaetz, who resigned immediately before the investigation of him about sex trafficking and sex with an underage girl and drug parties was to be released.

Loyalty is rewarded in this GOP over decency and experience.
