When the pandemic became worldwide, more than 10 million people were unemployed due to companies losing profits, work unavailable, and fewer customers/clients to support their business. People were concern about how the bills are going to get pay or put food on the table; they reliant on TWC to get through harsh times. However, TWC may not pay you as much as your job did and may need additional assistance to pay your bills. Sometimes, you probably have enough to pay the bills but not enough to put food on the table. If you're one of those people who have noticed that your benefits will end on a specific date, then have no fear as I explain four reasons why TWC should continue to support the people during the pandemic.

1. People are Struggle to Pay their Bills

When the pandemic has begun, millions of people see changes in their hours to work, and their paycheck is shrinking. More than 50% of low-income people struggle to pay their bills, including health insurance. Fear that they'll lose everything they have, some people reported that they attend to pay their bills with their emergency money. Even if they save their money to get through each month, TWC shouldn't end someone's benefits because they make little more income than their previous job. Imagine that your two or three months behind the rent bill, your paychecks aren't enough to pay it, and you're running out of time to pay the total amount of the rent bill. The worse situation is that TWC doesn't give you enough to pay the bills, and you have to make sacrifices to survive through the pandemic.

2. People are Struggle to get House Supplies

Buying house supplies is crucial for our health. Now that people are losing hours at work or let go of their job, they have to cut down the house supplies to ensure that the bills are payable before the due date. Daily supplies such as toilet paper, soap, hand soap, dish liquid, and paper towels are the basic needs to keep ourselves clean from bacteria and viruses entering the body. TWC doesn't believe that people are using their benefits for emergency reasons. Instead, they determine who gets to keep the unemployment benefits and who release from receiving unemployment benefits. They don't understand how people struggle to get house supplies, especially working people who have children to raise and keep their homes tidy.

3. People are Struggle to get School Supplies

Know that the parents have to buy school supplies for themselves, TWC doesn't realize that buying school supplies can cost higher than you expect. On average, parents spend about $500 or less on school supplies for each child. With the COVID-19 hit in the United States, parents may have to budget between spending on their bills, grocery, house supplies, school supplies, etc. Some parents are opt-in to place their child or children in remote learning from their schools to keep them safe. It's a struggle as a parent to make sure that your child or children have the school supplies they need to achieve their academic goals. We have college students who are not eligible for a Pell Grant and have to use student loans to pay for their classes. After graduation, they have to pay off the total amount of student loans before the due date. TWC must ensure that the people have a secure job willing to pay them a good amount of money per paycheck to keep stable employment before cutting off their benefits.

4. People are Struggle to Buy Grocery

When you have a family to feed, it's crucial to keep your foods in stock and get rid of expired foods. Recently studies reported that more than 18 million people struggle to purchase groceries due to lack of income bring home. Approximately 25 million people are on food stamps, TANF, or both to get groceries at the stores. For babies, TWC must understand that new or current parents use infant formula to feed the babies, and sometimes their food stamps may not be enough to purchase it. If you were working for TWC, would you help people in need verse looking at their search log or changes in income? For children between the ages of 1 to 12, they may not understand the struggles you're going through; however, you push yourselves to make the best for your child or children. Some people are eligible for one or two government programs that may still struggle to survive through the pandemic. Surprisingly, TWC decides to cut people off from their unemployment benefits due to the lack of job search. However, it doesn't solve the pandemic crisis that people suffer mentally and emotionally.

Final Thoughts

Now that you understand the reasons why TWC should continue to support the people. Try to understand that people wish to be more prepared for emergencies like the pandemic or similar. Struggle to keep their homes from eviction and end up on the streets, see the pain that low-income people have to suffer over time. People with a high income lose their job due to lost profit and have to start from the bottom again. I hope you understand the message, looking forward to hearing your opinions about this post, and enjoy the rest of your day.
