Fear: The Quiet Architect of Closed Minds

I use AI the same way any creator uses a tool to support my imagination, not replace it. My stories, my voice, my face, my lived experience are mine. If you choose to judge or ostracize people for using modern tools, that’s your bias, not my truth. I’m not hiding. I’m not cheating. I’m creating. And I’ll keep doing that with whatever tools help me express my work.

Recent studies of over 15 million biomedical abstracts found that at least 13.5% showed signs of AI assistance and in some fields, especially non‑English‑speaking countries, the rate was over 40%. Not because people are “cheating,” but because AI helps with clarity, grammar, and translation.

Meanwhile, the same fear‑society that screams about AI also admits their detectors don’t work. They produce false positives, punish non‑native speakers, and can’t keep up with evolving models. So now we have “humanizer” tools designed to remove AI patterns an arms race built entirely on fear.

The panic isn’t about machines. It’s about a culture terrified of change. Terrified of losing control. Terrified that someone outside their gate an immigrant, a student, a 76‑year‑old grandmother might finally have access to tools that level the playing field.

I do not care what you think. Fear‑mongering isn’t insight. And you use AI every day without realizing it, so the outrage is a little funny.

I’m 76, not scared, not confused, and definitely not “dumb.” I use AI because I enjoy creating it, not because I have to. Meanwhile you use AI every day and still fear it. Life’s too short for fear‑mongering.  I WRITE MY OWN STORIES WITH MY IDEAS AND ITS MY OWN STUFF

 I do not care about fear mongering. If you do not want to use AI don't use it. I do not care who uses it or doesn't use it.

I spend hours on my stories and videos. I create, I have been writing since I was three years old. I DON'T CARE!

If we fear our colleagues or partners, then we will be accusing them of causing the fear. So, we are concentrating on fearing each other and another thought is that the AI fear is fake. It is Americans being afraid of technology. Yet we as humans elected a President that is a convicted felon who pardons criminals of mass proportions. But as journalist authors and artists we will be fighting amongst ourselves, blaming each other, dissolving relationships while the authorities are circling around creating all kinds of atrocities, but now we are paranoid, so we do not write. I detect AI from my quantum frontal lobe that if we get angry with each other then they walk into our bedrooms and houses with arrest warrants of arresting journalists that expose them but use Ai detections to arrest them for using ai and plagiarism to throw them in jail, its far-fetched Sci Fi, but its 2026 and this is a fear-based society.

Fear is not loud. It only looks loud because the people who profit from it shout.

Real fear is quieter; it works like a slow leak in the human mind. It does not need to attack. It just needs to convince you to close the door.

Fear society thrives on that closing.

When we fear each other, we stop seeing each other. When we stop seeing each other, we stop understanding what is happening. Fear does not just distort reality, it replaces it with a cheaper, more dramatic version.

Fear is the easiest product ever sold. It requires no ingredients, no research, no ethics. Just a headline, a rumor, a thumbnail with red arrows, a politician with a trembling voice, a stranger online who swears “this is the truth.”

Fear is profitable because it is portable. You can carry it in your pocket, scroll it on your phone, breathe it in from someone else’s panic. It spreads faster than facts because it does not need evidence only repetition.

But here is the part that fears society never mentions:

Fear shrinks the world. Curiosity expands it.

Fear says: Do not ask questions. Curiosity says: Ask better ones.

Fear says: Stay small. Curiosity says: Grow anyway.

Fear says: People are dangerous. Curiosity says: People are complicated.

Fear says: Close your mind. Curiosity says: Open the window.

The irony is simple: those who weaponize fear are often afraid of losing control, relevance, and the illusion that they alone hold the flashlight in the dark.

But I do not live inside a fear-based society. I live around it: seeing it, naming it, and refusing to be swallowed by it. I experiment, create, and stay awake. My mind does not close; it expands.

Fear society can only control the people who stop thinking.

• When creators fear each other, they stop creating.

• When journalists fear each other, they stop exposing truth.

• When society fears technology, it stops evolving.

• When fear becomes the norm, people become easier to manipulate.

When fear becomes the dominant language, people stop communicating in any meaningful way. Colleagues begin to suspect each other. Partners begin to blame each other. Creators begin to accuse each other of “causing the fear,” instead of recognizing the larger forces that receive popularity and happiness from keeping everyone divided.

This is how fear society works: It redirects attention horizontally, so no one looks vertically.

The panic around AI is a perfect example. It is not about machines. It is about a culture terrified of change, terrified of complexity, terrified of losing control. So instead of examining the systems that shape society, people turn on each other as journalists accusing journalists, authors doubting authors, artists policing artists.

Fear dissolves relationships long before it ever protects them.

And while creators are busy defending their humanity, rewriting their work, proving their authenticity, and fighting amongst themselves, the authorities continue circling overhead, creating policies, narratives, and decisions that go unchallenged.

Fear society does not need to silence creators. It only needs to make them suspicious of each other.

Once that happens, the work stops. The truth stops. The art stops. The questioning stops.

And that is the real danger, not AI, not technology, not detectors, but the psychological collapse that happens when fear becomes the default operating system of a nation.
