Dunking on Josh Hawley: A 2021 Collection

He is a sad gross man and gaining power broke his brain.

Josh Hawley has always been awful. In 2021 his awfulness was elevated to a level that the whole nation took notice. Here are some of the best insults and clap backs to Missouri's junior Senator.

Hawley started off 2021 in full force of awfulness, trying to undermine democracy. This cumulated in the January 6th capitol riots. Hawley gave an infamous fist pump to the rioters beforehand, went ahead with his BS objections immediately afterwards and then disavowed any responsibility afterwards. Here are some takes on Hawley:

Hawley ran up against some very trivial consequences for his treasonous behavior. One of which was that his book deal was canceled. Of course Hawley whined about how a left wing mob had canceled his book, which set off another round of insults.

Though prestigious publisher Simon & Schuster dropped Hawley's book, he would eventually get published by Regnery, a leaky arsehole of right wing schlock. Here is a revised version created by the comedy duo, The Good Liars.

And here's another observation about Hawley's book and him talking out of his ass.

In case you're wondering, that ugly crap really is the cover of his book. What, did Hawley use his phone to take a picture of a Word document? Here is the top Amazon review of the book, entitled The Tyranny of an Extremist Politician:

Hawley opens with an attempt to rewrite the history surrounding Jan. 6th. His challenge to the Electoral College vote is incomparable to previous challenges by Democrats. An excellent article about those previous challenges is available in the Springfield, Missouri, newspaper: the Springfield News-Leader ("Congress has objected to Electoral College votes before. Here's a look at past efforts," published Jan. 5, 2021.)

Hawley has had months to reckon (and reconcile) with the events of Jan. 6th, yet he still expresses no sympathy for those who were injured and died that day.

Much of Hawley's criticism of Big Tech applies equally to ALL major corporations--it's silly to single out "Big Tech". Hawley might be more effective at instituting productive change if he wasn't so extreme. The de-platforming he complains about has nothing to do with 1st Amendment rights, as the 1st Amendment doesn't apply to private spaces--which he knows full well. He feels hurt because of his promotion of Trump's Big Lie, which also violated his oath to uphold the Constitution.

Hawley's extraordinary violation of the People's trust can not be forgotten.

Of course, Hawley didn't take all this abuse lying down. He wrote an editorial about how he was being "muzzled" which ran as a front page story on the New York Post (again, showing a complete lack of self awareness). The Good Liars once again changed the cover.

Hawley was not one to rest on his laurels though. After a madman went on a deadly shooting spree targeting Asian women, the Senate passed an anti-Asian hate crimes Bill 94-1. Guess who that one voting against was?

Oh and lets not forget the time time The Daily Beast called out Hawley:

From the article:

Hawley purports to offer hope to those who have been left behind economically, but his rhetoric of standing on the side of workers and the downtrodden is directly at odds with the policies he advocates. Instead of offering opportunity or real hope to people facing hardship in a changing world, Hawley offers only resentment and prejudice toward other Americans.

Somewhere along the line I think Hawley developed a kink for being mocked online. I can't think of another reason for his bizarre claims that the left was effectively castrating men with video games and porn.

Hawley is keeping busy with his new podcast... wait, what? The man is a sitting senator, not an out of work comedian. Why the hell is he doing a podcast? Doesn't he have real work to do instead of this culture war bullshit?

Hawley summarized the podcast’s theme as one of recognizing America’s “hour of need” — and what America needs, of course, is more Josh Hawley.

I could not agree more strongly with the St. Louis Post-Dispatch: It's long past time for the Senate ethics panel to address Hawley's Jan. 6 actions.

Hawley is a lying treasonous insurrectionist whose goal is to run America as a white supremacist theocracy. Or as another commentator put it:
