Things to know

Coronavirus or Covid-19, whichever you like to call it. It has been in the news a lot overs this past few months. No matter where we turn, we are hearing about coronavirus or getting back to work. Kids need to be back in school in the fall. We all know that we need to work and the kids need to learn, but is it safe for all that to happen? Can we safely send our children to school? With numbers still rising and more people getting the virus, can we say it’s safe to send the ones we hold dear back to school when they can’t guarantee their safety.

We have the government fighting with the CDC over this virus. The CDC is the leading expert in things like the Coronavirus. Why wouldn’t the people want to trust the experts? Where the government knows nothing about viruses there in politics. So how can the government say they know more than the experts that have been doing this long then the president has been in office? With the government now controlling the numbers that are being reported, how can we believe they will report the true numbers? Do they even care how many Americans die?

Global deaths are nearly 603,000, United States death is around 140,00. Yet, the president says the virus is going away. How is that? Almost every state now reports record highs. Confirmed cases globally are around 14.2 million, and in the United States it is around 3.7 million. Yet there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight. Why, you may ask? There was not enough action with the government or the people of our nation. Take action now, it still will help.

While experts predict that the virus will keep going up in the fall and the death rate will increase, because you will deal with the flu and the virus. While Trump sits back and says “I’ll be right, eventually” and then goes on to say, “It’s going to disappear and I’ll be right,” He even goes on to call Dr. Anthony Fauci, the government’s Top infectious diseases expert “a little bit of an alarmist.” He is talking about the guy who has worked with five other presidents before him and now he is an alarmist. Come on now, how can that be?

It’s time for all Americans to stand up and take control over this virus. Make the government listen. Make them make masks mandatory everywhere for your safety and others. If they can’t help the people fight to stay alive by mandatory mask wearing. How can we trust them to take care of us any other way?

This shouldn’t be about whether you're a Republican or a Democrat. It should be about what is right. Why do people's lives have to be a political gain? When the President vows not to order Americans to wear masks what does that say to all of you? Does that show a president that cares for his people or just his wallet? When Trump’s Administration is trying to block billions of dollars for states to conduct testing. Isn’t that going a little too far?

While Trump is claiming that the “United States has done far more ‘testing’ than any other nation.” Wasn’t always the case. And we are running out of tests for a lot of states. So then why is Trump at odds with fresh cases being reported? Trump said, “When you test more you get more cases.” It’s not about how much we test or don’t test. The virus cases will still be there.

Dr. Fauci is urging states and local leaders to be “as forceful as possible” in getting people to wear a mask. Yet, Trump only wore a mask one time for a press conference at a VA hospital in hopes to help him with his polls. That is because of the growing number of Americans that have soured on Trump's pandemic response.

With having five states reporting new single-day case records on Saturday the 18th of July 2020. And having some states that may have to shut down again. Where is Trump and his Administration at? Where is the support for those states? Then could this happen in the other states if we keep going on the path that our states are taking?
