This conversation happened on Monday, November 4, one day before the presidential election in the United States, as Trump was flying to his rally in Pittsburgh, PA.
“Hello, Vlad?”
“Hi, Donnie. I was just thinking about calling you.”
“Really?”
“Of course, was thinking about you all day. I was just about to dial you when you called first.”
“Isn’t it interesting that I always call you first, Vlad?” [a little annoyed]
“Not always, Donnie. I call you first too.”
“Yeah, when?”
“Just a couple of days ago, actually, when you were at your big love fest rally at the Madison Square Garden.”
“That was a week ago, Vlad!”
“Really??? Seems just like yesterday. Anyway, how are you feeling?”
“I’m really tired, Vlad. I already had a huge rally in Raleigh, North Carolina. Do you get it: a rally in Raleigh? So smart, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, I get it, Donnie. Smart indeed. How was it?”
“Ah, as good as usual: a lot of people showed up. So many people, Vlad, I have the biggest crowds. I was a little late, but they all waited for me. Can you imagine, so many people and they all waited for me! They love me so much, Vlad!”
“I believe you, Donnie. Why are you so tired then? Where are you heading next?”
“I have two more rallies today, Vlad. One in Pittsburgh I’m flying to right now and the last one at 10:30 pm in Grand Rapids, Michigan.”
“Why are you closing in Michigan, Donnie?”
“Well, that’s where I closed my campaign in 2016 when I won, Vlad. And then I went back there in 2020. I consider it my lucky swing state, a little superstitious. Just a little bit superstitious, maybe this state will bring me luck again.”
“Oh, I see. But that’s a grueling schedule, Donnie. Three states in one day!” To the side, “I hope you don’t fall asleep at the podium.”
“Yeah, I’m trying to cover all my bases. And she is doing four campaign events in Pennsylvania only. Can you believe it? Four events and all in Pennsylvania. She really poured a lot of money into that swing state. Can you imagine?”
“Well, Donnie, she obviously doesn’t have the stamina that you do, to travel as much as you do. She must be exhausted with all these events. When does she find the time to be the vice president?”
“Right? Can you believe it, Vlad, she spends so much money, too! She had spent almost one and a half billion on her entire campaign! Imagine all those poor schmucks giving her so much of their money! She’s just milking them, all those stupid libs!” [laughs]
“Didn’t you spend about the same on the campaign, Donnie?” [chuckles]
“Yeah, but I’m not spending my own money. It’s all my tech bros and billionaires who are footing the bill. It’s good to have rich friends, Vlad! So good to have rich friends!”
“Tell me about it, Donnie. Still waiting on your payback.”
“Yeah, yeah, I told you I’m good for it, Vlad.”
“Does that mean you are selling your DJT shares tomorrow?”
“I have it all set up, Vlad. Everything is set up, but I really don’t want to sell it. It’s going up again! We can make a lot of money by holding, Vlad.”
“We can also lose a lot of money if you lose the election, Donnie.”
“That won’t happen, Vlad.”
“How can you be so sure, Donnie?”
“I’ve called you to get some reassurances and support, Vlad, and you are sewing doubt in my mind? Don’t you believe in me?”
“Not at all, Donnie, I just want to understand where your confidence is coming from.”
“From myself, Vlad. I have never been so confident in my victory. I’m manifesting it every day. Just manifesting it. With all the love I’m getting from the people at my rallies…”
“You do understand those are not representative samples, right, Donnie? I suspect that most of them are coming there just to gawk at you, to brag that they’d seen you in person.”
“You sound like fake media now, Vlad. I thought you were my friend…”
“And I am, Donnie, but you are not living in a country where you can rig the election to your advantage like I can…”
“But the other side can, Vlad. They are in power, and they have control over the elections. So much control, Vlad. The only way I lose the election is if they rig it.”
“And then what happens?”
“No matter what happens, I will declare my victory, Vlad. Even if I lose, I will declare victory. And I will be much smarter about it this time. My supporters are all prepped for the rigged election results. They will stand up for me. They are ready, Vlad.”
“I hope you are right, Donnie, but I still want you to remember that you owe me money.”
“I never forget that, Vlad. Oh, we just landed, so I have to go now. Wish me luck, Vlad. Wish me really good luck for tomorrow.”
“Good luck, Donnie. I’m rooting for you.”
“Thank you, Vlad. Bye.”
“Bye, Donnie.”
