Humanity at the Precipice

Angels Sigh. Sun Shines. Moon Cries.
WORLD SHIFTING. Time bends for the ones who stay.
This is Humanity at the Precipice, a visual poem about destruction, light, grief, and the people who witness it all
Angels Sigh, Sun Shines, Moon Cries, Humanity at the Precipice…
written, created, edited by Vicki Lawana Trusselli
The Earth is changing.
We’re moving through a pattern of dark and light,
cosmic structures shifting, old guards falling away.
Just like in our human lives love, light, peace, and the grief we hear every day.
On the news. Around the corner.
In cafés.
In respect, we reflect upon the light for sight.
The thorns of the rose prick our fingers, and the tiny red drops are healing as we climb into the light.
Away from the dark, away from entities of lost proportions, extreme visions of shadows that never learned our names.
We walk.
We run.
We sit.
We cry.
We laugh. We sigh.
Humanity stands on a precipice of life and destruction.
Angels sigh.
Angels fly.
We sit and wonder why we sigh, why we cry.
But the light shines forth upon the broken land, upon the broken hearts, calling us to love again my friends.
We must carry the light as we meander through time changes, cultural changes, dimensional changes into acceptance, into humanity, into the truth that we are created in a living Earth, a living universe.
Dimensions surround us, full of unknown characters and places, soon to be found.
We should love, not hate.
And if this sounds like a repeat, it’s meant to be because the message must echo like shiny sun, moon, stars.

Angels Sigh, Sun Shines, Moon Cries, Humanity at the Precipice
I been walkin’ through the shadows,
With the sunrise on my skin.
Every tear that hit the dust road told me where my heart had been.
But the light kept pushin’ forward,
Through the cracks I tried to hide
And I learned that grief ain’t darkness,
It’s the place where the truth resides.
Storms on one side of the horizon,
Flowers burnin’ on the other side.
World’s been askin’ me the question that I can’t run from or deny.
“Are you ready for the shift now?”
Whispers low like saxophone
And I feel the night surrounding me as I choose my path alone.

Cause the Earth is breakin’ open,
And the old world’s fallin’ through.
Every lie we used to lean on turns to dust beneath our shoes.
But the light keeps spillin’ upward,
From the fault lines in the ground
And I rise with every fracture,
Cause the truth is where I’m found.

Angels sigh when the night is heavy,
Sun shines through the wounded sky.
Moon cries over broken stories, humanity stands at the edge of why.
Time bends for the ones still walkin’,
Through the dark that never stays
And the light keeps callin’ forward as we learn our changin’ ways.
Clocks are drippin’ off the table,
Hours slide like silver rain.
Memories melt into the distance,
Leavin’ only what remains.
Healing don’t follow the numbers,
Time bends for the ones who stay
And I breathe between the moments,
Where the night turns into day.

Cause the Earth is breakin’ open,
And the old world’s fallin’ through.
Every lie we used to lean on turns to dust beneath our shoes.
But the light keeps spillin’ upward,
From the fault lines in the ground
And I rise with every fracture,
Cause the truth is where I’m found.

I been standin’ at the shoreline with a sunset in my hand.
Holdin’ roses with their thorns out, learnin’ how to understand.
Every prick that drew a red drop was a lesson in the fight
And I carry every heartbeat as I walk back into the light.

Angels sigh, the sun still shines,
Moon cries but the heart survives.
We stand at the precipice of time,
Carryin’ light through all our lives.
And the Earth keeps changin’ under us,
But our souls still learn to bend
Cause the dark don’t get the last word,
And the light comes back again.
