The famous Berlin Wall was built in 1961 to solve

this problem. People continued to migrate even after the wall was built. Finally, in 1990, the two German territories were reunited. Thus East Germany was merged with the West.

7.United Arab Republic.

The United Arab Republic is a failed attempt to unite the Arab world. The idea was mooted by Egyptian President Abdul Nasser. At the root of this idea was in fact a political motive. Nasser wanted to form a front against Israel along with Syria.

Moreover, they wanted to form a single government of both countries. All in all, it was an attempt to gain power. But the two countries soon divorced due to different temperaments. After all, the United Arab Republic only existed from 1958 to 1971. Although it appears to be 13 years old, Syria withdrew from the UAR in its third year.
