Satoshi a time traveler?

The legendary origin of Cryptocurrencies

Satoshi Nakamoto in the future when bitcoin is the worlds currency

The year is 2009 and the world is in the midst of the most devastating recession in modern times, trust in financial institutions, governments and regulatory bodies is at an all time low; enter bitcoin, revolutionary concept and champion currency of the people, worth nothing, save for the value of the efforts put into its creation, at the time of its entry into public access when Satoshi Nakamoto himself mined the first block known as the Genesis Block. We've all heard of the purported time travelers and their harrowing sometimes seemingly accurate predictions some including this writer believe Satoshi Nakamoto could be one such individual(s).

The original white paper method of implementation and creation of bitcoin all done fully remotely maintaining anonymity even with the other devs who contributed to its creation. The genesis Block, the first Block in the BTC blockchain mined by the creator himself who then went on to mine the next 35,999 blocks with a reward of 50 BTC per block at the time and of the almost 2 million BTC rewarded 63 percent ~1.1 million Bitcoin still sit in wallets associated with him untouched and unmoved, BTC thankfuls and enthusiasts have also been known to send in some tips to the Genesis Blocks attributed wallet address more than 17 BTC total in thousands of mostly micro transactions.

A somewhat paradoxical crux of this theory, in my view, is the simple fact that Bitcoin is a currency that can travel into the future but not to the past, at least not beyond the point in time at which the transaction, that shows said time traveler has said amount of bitcoin, exists on the blockchain; if you mine or otherwise obtain bitcoin and store it on a wallet only you have access to, like Satoshi, you can very well travel into the distant future with your funds still in that wallet and utilize them. Remember that Satoshi Nakamoto is consistently one of the richest people in the world due to the value of the bitcoin in his wallets as high as 30th in recent times and with the trends, price trajectory and forecasts I can just see through my minds eye in some version of a distant future Satoshi Nakamoto finally breaking the bank with bitcoin valued in the "illion" levels.

With this fact in mind I can't help but consider that this could have been the motivation behind bitcoins creation, entirely self serving, a grim prospect isn't it? but despite this fact bitcoin is still a game changer and an innovative stroke of genius, potentially nefarious motives aside, this is the case with every invention that changes its landscape in such a dramatic fashion, all can agree it almost always inevitably enriches its creator; Satoshi Nakamoto is no exception although he does not even own what would be considered controlling share it is still substantial as this is a supply-capped currency we are talking about here and not a company. Much like Mansa Musa did with gold in Egypt he has the power to single handedly cause significant inflation within the deflationary currency should he ever release his massive reserves into the open market at any point also not unlike many other "whales" with a significant amount of bitcoin in store.

In this day and age it is extremely difficult to remain anonymous on the internet with the scope of technology today and the vast amount of intelligence available to government agencies its simply hard to process that none is yet to unmask him especially with the huge stakes involved; should he ever liquidate his holdings he would likely owe a large amount in taxes payable to a very lucky country depending on their tax laws but expending precious resources to expose a citizen who, as far as we know, has done nothing illegal, in most countries would be frowned upon. He has gone dark since about December 2010 not to be heard from again or back to a version of the future in this alternate timeline he has created by traveling back to invent bitcoin and live it up in the new world order he set in motion, in which case we may yet know his coveted identity but until then your guess is as good as mine ;)

Keep reading and hodling,
