ENKI: Great Airdrop Opportunity with $0 Investment

In this post I will share details about airdrop opportunity with a new project called ENKI protocol. It is currently in testnet phase being built on the Metis blockchain.

It recently hit the 100K mark of followers on Twitter so it’s not exactly a secret project which nobody knows about but it still quite early and I expect it to get more popular in the coming months.

What Exactly is Metis Blockchain?

I will not go into too much details about Metis as that deserves a separate dedicated blog.

It’s vision is to be a “Superfluid Self-sustainable Blockchain”.

It is basically a L2 solution for Ethereum with the 2 main objectives of improving scalability and reducing gas fees.

What differentiates Metis from other L2s is that it is incorporates Optimistic Rollup (OP) framework. OP frameworks are more cost efficient that the competing ZK (zero knowledge) model. They have the drawback of higher bridging and withdrawal times.

To strike a balance Metis is using a hybrid model using OP and ZK both to get a balance between transaction costs and transfer timelines.

Metis was launched in 2nd half of 2021, so it has been around for more than 2 years. Things have started heating up a lot with new apps launching on Metis and many new quests being launched with Galxe since start of the year. The price has also started to pump since Jan ’24. I am bullish on Metis to outperform the broad crypto markets in the coming bull run.

What’s Special about ENKI?

ENKI is slated to become the first LSD (Liquid Staking Derivatives) platform on Metis blockchain. Their vision is to make liquid staking easy and accessible for everyone. They want to make their platform easy to navigate and not make it technically cumbersome for the masses. They realise the importance of DeFi in making financial instruments accessible to everyone and they have ensured that security remains a priority for them as many newbies to crypto will also be onboarded to their platform.

Why I am Excited about their Airdrop?

First reason why I like this airdrop opportunity is that it is happening on Testnet so I do not need to invest any funds to participate in it. There are so many cases happening nowadays of projects farming the farmer by promising them a great airdrop. They spend a lot funds and in many cases end up with nothing.

The next factor is that in their Genesis plan published on their blog they have mentioned they want the Testnet evolution to Mainnet to be a community driven event and to make sure people participating in the testnet will be rewarded on Mainnet launch.

Their tokenomics includes a max supply of 10 million ENKI tokens, out of which 1 million (10%) are reserved for airdrop to community.

Testnet participants will also be given the chance to mint an Early Supporter NFT which will have weightage in the airdrop.

Step 1: Faucet- The first thing you need to do is claim the Sepolia testnet Metis tokens from the faucet.

Step 2: Mint eMetis- Use some of the Metis you got from the faucet to mint eMetis tokens.

Step 3: Stake eMetis- Next you need to stake the eMetis you have minted to get some seMetis.

Currently these are the only actions you can do as part of the testnet. I think they will enable more functions in the coming days so do keep track of their Twitter announcements. At he moment they have not setup a Discord so once that is done I think next phase of activities will start.
