Personally, I strongly recommend opt for plain color designs, plaids at most. Slowly, you may move forward with patterns & designs gradually.

Button-down shirts - white & powder blue per piece.

crewneck sweaters- Black, Navy, Charcoal gray, Maroon per piece

T shirts- white, black, gray, navy, any shades of neutral colors.

2. Versatile Pants- Jeans, Chinos, dress pants

You can't complete an outfit without your bottoms. Choose a few pairs of pants that can be dressed up or down, such as dark-wash jeans, chinos in khaki or navy, and black dress pants. Any of these pants are interchangeable to the tops I mentioned above. Here's an interesting fact; if you have 3x t shirts and 3x pants; you already have 9 different combinations of outfits.

Look guys, boxer briefs are a popular style of men's underwear. I have to include this in this article. Most gentlemen's boxers are either torn out or worn out and they did not bother to replace it with new ones and looks unhygienic.
