Hot Girl Summer

It is that time of the year again when you need to archive the clothes in your closet with heavy fabric and dark hues to make room for pieces that are light weight, Breathable and vibrant.

Here’s a guide to breathing freshness into your closet so you can transform it to reflect the sexy, fun, outdoorsy vibe of summer.

Bright Colored Pieces

Bright colored pieces

Get into the summer mood by incorporating pieces from a brighter colour palette into your closet. Think vibrant yellows, feminine pink and other playful hues such as orange. Bright colours are just what you need to give you that summer glow. You also want to make sure that the colours you’re wearing compliment your skin by figuring out what your skin undertone is. You can tell which undertone you belong to by looking at your veins.

If your veins reflect green when you apply some pressure to them under natural light, you are of a warm undertone, if the colour that you see is blue or purple then you are of a cool undertone. If however you can’t tell whether they reflect green, blue or purple you are most likely of a neutral undertone.

If what you have is a warm undertone you’ll look especially good in clothes that have earth tones / warm colours which are colours that you can see in nature such as pale yellows, green, rose reds while if you have a cool undertone, you will look better in cool colours like lavender, bright blues and pink. If you have a neutral undertone almost all hues will compliment your skin tone, favor wearing shade that aren’t too dark or too bright like dusty pinks, light peach and medium greens.
