3 Reasons Why you should work with Aphrodite to Enhance Your Love Life

Let's introduce ourselves to Aphrodite and her history as a goddess, her origins go back to that of Istar. Where she initially shared all five attributes with Aphrodite when she first showed up in ancient Sparta. This is most likely so that Aphrodite was used to inspire the Spartan women and those who settled from Samaria/ the region what we know now as modern day Persian cultures have settled. Aphrodite was named originally Aphrodite Aries once she hit the shores of the ancient Sparta. In ancient Sparta the men trained and were an active military state. What most people do not know is that the women were trained as highly skilled fighters as well in spartan society. This was in case of the males being away that the female population would not be over run if there was an invasion from an enemy military campaign and also to put down a helot revolt, helot's were known as the slaves of the ancient Sparta world.

Once Aphrodite went to Athens, the Athenians already had a War goddess to worship known as Athena the goddess of prudent warfare so the Athenians dropped the fighter attribute and used Aphrodite as a goddess of love, romance, marriage and sex. That is why she is associated with Aries as her divine counter part. My myth professor always said "In ancient times sex and war deities were always closely linked." In ancient Athena’s there were temples to Aphrodite but also she was the patron deity for the sex workers of ancient times. Aphrodite was also was a goddess of civil law and order. Eventually she would evolve into that of the goddess Venus and the two names can be interchangeable when working with her.

Aphrodite the goddess of love is excellent to use in your personal spiritual practice. Wether you are married or single this goddess helps give you divine insight and help aid you in your love and romance when you call on her.

2. Sex and Intimacy- Aphrodite is a fertility goddess, but most people do not realize you can use her guidance in some forms of tantra and even sex magic. Yes even if you are by yourself you can still practice sex magic. Or just work with her to enhance your sexual prowess in the bedroom as lover. The best sex is the kind of sex where both lovers are all in intimate wise on all levels and what better way than to work with this goddess of passionate romantic love.
