Why the Gender Affirming Model is Regressive and Harmful:

It is superficial and focuses only on outside appearances and ignores basic biology and sexual functions. Menstruation and pregnancy are exclusively female functions and should belong to the woman domain. If you have no issues with periods or pregnancy you should not be able to claim male status in society at all; it is absurd. We know men do not have those functions by default.

If you are female and you continue engaging in intercourse with males, which has risk of pregnancy and sexually-transmitted infections, again you are not male at all, because you clearly have no issue with having heterosexual sex like regular straight women do, and no, you cannot claim a gay male identity because you do not have a male body with male functions and clearly that doesn't bother you or your male partner.

Testosterone is detrimental to the female body, in the high levels it is prescribed by either clueless or corrupt doctors, because high levels of testosterone are dangerous even for biological men; they lead to anger, aggression, and improper sexual conduct - how do you think it will affect a female body that is not built for handling those levels? It will make them sick eventually and mentally unstable (as most trans masculines are) and lead to other problems like: obesity, psychiatric disorders which require more medication and management, diabetes, other endocrine issues, and more unnecessary surgeries, because no amount of testosterone, beard, or low voice can make a woman into a man, and on some level trans masculines must know all of this is external and false. Why the perpetual insecurity of not passing? Why the hormones for life? Why the gruesome and brutal procedures that are more and more invasive? Why the need to traumatize the body and mind so much for cosmetic reasons, while still maintaining female biological functions like vaginal intercourse, ability to get pregnant, and actual pregnancy? It is ridiculous. Men cannot have babies and if you are having babies you are clearly still a woman, in fact now you are probably a bearded woman, possibly balding, and possibly with all sorts of risks and health conditions that require perpetual medication, procedures, and monitoring. On top of that, the testosterone you took will surely harm the baby and if you remove your breasts, well now you cannot breastfeed, so you are depriving your baby of the thing that bonds mother and child together and compromising their immune system with formula instead of natural breastmilk. So now you are just a bad mother. Still no claims to fatherhood.

Why not take manhood seriously, remove your breasts and uterus, that way you have neither periods to deal with, nor visible markers of femininity, and neither do you need testosterone for life. If you have concerns over your voice and lack of facial and body hair, maybe a bit of testosterone until you achieve your goal and nothing more. Voice ranges and levels of facial and body hair vary by culture, so they cannot be true markers of what makes someone a man or a woman - sexual function is a way better category, and we just need to change regressive stereotypes of what constitutes manhood. You can easily raise the children of your partner, adopt together, or even look at sperm donors and in-vitro fertilization. That makes way more sense and it is a healthier version of masculinity, maleness, and fatherhood.

You can be strong naturally, by training or sport, then your mind is clear without need for psychiatric medication, then you don't suffer the effects of steroids (which is what synthetic testosterone is), and moreover you don't ruin yourself in the process, nor do you emulate the worst male behaviours that exist, the toxic masculinity which harms women and children worldwide, which you have now chosen to adopt out of desperation to "pass" and "fit in" with is a horrible culture we should seek to eradicate. Worse, you are doing this while maintaining past and present female lived experience and functions. So again, you are not a man, you don't even want to be a man, you don't want to be a father, a husband, a protector, but instead you just don't want to admit you are female because admitting it will make all the other extreme choices like testosterone for life, or gruesome genital procedures, obsolete. We already know a healthy sexuality involves consent, pleasure, respect and mutual understanding, so it should not involve cheating and multiple partners, it should not involve pain, kink, humiliation or violence to the body or the mind of either partner. You cannot have it both ways: either remove your female functions and be a proper man, or spend a lifetime as a medical and surgical patient, causing harm to yourself, your partner, your potential children and everyone around you who sees what misery you are in, who understands this is not life but torture. None of this behaviour makes you a proper man at all, but it is extremely feminine, vain, narcissistic and has nothing to do with real manhood. It only emulates drug addicts, bad mothers, and deadbeat fathers. It creates more suffering, more destruction, more mental illness, more neuroticism, more stress, and leads to a life devoid of love, pleasure, and happiness, at which point you might as well be dead; so, no, crying suicide like The Boy Who Cried Wolf will not help you either.

Regarding Trans Women:
They are already in male bodies and yes, they can be super feminine and yes, they are quite pretty, but again if they are retaining full male functions like having erections, having sex that leads to reproduction, or siring children all the time, how are they a woman in the slightest? They are, at most, effeminate men, that should be loved and cherished in society, and left to dress and behave as straight women do, in the ways that are natural to them, with all the beauty of colour and creativity and talent they have, with healthy sexualities, loving other men should they choose to, but with none of the shame, the stigma, the hatred, the mockery for something they didn't choose, and with no need to harm their body to try to achieve female functions they will never have, which are biologically impossible. There is no need for surgeries that create wounds that never heal, and other complications, again, just because we have backward concepts regarding health, sex, romance, and the roles of who is who, "who is passive or aggressive", "who is top or bottom", "who is considered gay or straight" - completely false dichotomies and sexually frustrated notions that don't actually exist in healthy people inside healthy marriages, practicing healthy sexualities and being happy in life. They don't exist in people who focus on positivity, achievements, the betterment of society, reduction of harm and violence, reduction of drugs and alcohol, reduction of any and all substances that harm bodies, minds, and lives - be they street drugs or prescribed medications, be they considered legal or illegal (which is always subject to change), and for any other reasons or considerations or excuses, or enabling of bad behaviour and whatever other conduct which leads to: sickness, stress, anxiety, unhappy people, and completely overwhelms the medical system. It leads to actual sick people dying, and resources taken away from life-saving interventions in favour of "gender affirmative" care, which is regressive, unnecessary, and is actually causing all the harms I mentioned above and giving no solutions.

If you have read this far, I am Lukas Prifti, a real Albanian trans man who cares about women, children, the LGBT community and people with disabilities. I am physically disabled with a genetic bone disorder that is not immediately visible, that cripples me and causes chronic pain, and that has been neglected by the Canadian Healthcare System, specifically the province of Ontario. Ontario forced me to go on testosterone as a condition to free breast removal and masculinization of the chest, the surgery still hasn't happened, I still have my uterus and periods, because I discontinued testosterone. Testosterone made me crazy and aggressive, and led to 16 whole years of psychiatric torture with the whole arsenal of medications and injections that they have. It left me unable to study or work, unable to participate in society, unable to swim or train because I have large breasts that cause me shame, anxiety, and insecurity. In a period of 20 years (from the age of 17 to my current age of 37) I only had one beach vacation, which was also difficult because I constantly had to hide my breasts with swimming binders and regular binders, and I was so stressed out on testosterone, so hypervigilant of every interaction, everything I did or said, through the sick and perverted lense of "do I pass as a man", that I forgot how to live, how to love, how to relax and enjoy life, and ironically all that worry about appearance, all that stress about small stuff, and my inability to work to provide for female partners, to train, to protect vulnerable people, to do all the creative things I love: like art, music, poetry, to enjoy flowers and love kittens, and have stuffed toys - whatever makes me a sensitive man, a creative and artistic type, (which is the kind of men we should value or aspire to be), the whole thing was the most un-manly thing I could have done, because it lacks bravery, it lacks authenticity, because I made my own life hell, and hurt a lot of women in the process.

A private clinic believes that I have undiagnosed Autism, so possibly some of my challenges have to do with that, but that still doesn't make the “gender affirming” model correct, in fact it makes it more corrupt, more deceptive, and more exploitative of vulnerable people like myself, and I am sure I am not the only one!
