WE ARE WITH YOU
To my dear queer youth, I want you to know that I see you. I see the challenges you face, the fear of judgment, the struggle for acceptance, and the longing for belonging. These are not burdens you bear alone, they are shared experiences that connect you to a larger community of individuals who understand and support you. I want to continue this conversation with you, knowing that the journey you're on is both unique and shared by many. Every step you take, every moment of doubt or triumph, is a testament to your strength and resilience. In a world that may not always recognize or appreciate your identity. Navigating through societal pressures and discrimination can feel like walking through a storm. The weight of expectations, the sting of prejudice, and the echoes of ignorance can cast shadows on your spirit. In these moments, my empathy reaches out to you. I understand the pain of feeling different, of questioning your place in a world that sometimes feels indifferent or hostile. But amidst these challenges, remember that your uniqueness is your strength. It's okay to embrace who you are, fully and authentically. Your identity and every facet of it, is valid, deserving of respect, and worthy of celebration. Finding support is essential, especially during times of uncertainty or difficulty. Seek out LGBTQ+ organizations, online communities, or local support groups where you can connect with others who share similar experiences. These spaces can offer not only solidarity but also practical guidance and emotional solace. Surround yourself with people who uplift and affirm you, who see you for the incredible individual you are. Let's take a moment to celebrate the rich tapestry of diversity within the queer community. Each identity, each story, adds a vibrant thread to the larger fabric of human experience. Embrace your identity with pride, knowing that you contribute to this mosaic of courage, resilience, and love. Self-acceptance and self-love are not just ideals, they are radical acts of defiance against intolerance and bigotry. You are the author of your story, and your narrative unfolds with endless possibilities. Your journey is not defined by the challenges you face but by the strength you exhibit in overcoming them. Hold onto hope for a future where love and equality prevail, where every person is embraced for who they are without fear of judgment or discrimination. Your voice matters, and your advocacy can create meaningful change. Be resilient in the face of adversity, and know that your courage inspires others to stand tall. Progress in LGBTQ+ rights and acceptance continues to grow, propelled by the bravery and advocacy of individuals like you. As I conclude this letter, I want to reaffirm your inherent worth. You are valued, cherished, and deserving of happiness and fulfillment. Never hesitate to reach out—to friends, to allies, to supportive communities. Together, we can create a world where every individual is celebrated for their uniqueness and embraced with love and understanding. My aim is to provide comfort, encouragement, and a sense of community to queer youth, emphasizing acceptance, resilience, and the importance of self-affirmation. With unwavering love and solidarity, Nidhi Gohil.

Where's Your Pride Vocal?
I have had the privilege to be able to be an out queer and genderfluid person in most of my spaces. My wife and I are accepted and loved by the people in our lives. Our rights as a same-sex couple are protected. And even more so, I've been able to support and empower queer youth in their identities. Even in the Arctic.

My Journey to Peace
My Excursion to Harmony: Conquering Forlornness and Embracing Confinement The quiet used to be a stunning thunder. It reverberated in the vacant spaces of my loft, a consistent sign of the isolation that stuck to me like a subsequent skin. Depression wasn't simply an inclination; it was a presence, a significant burden on my chest that gagged the delight out of life.

While in strife
At 31, I felt like my life was a never-ending cycle of regret. I had always dreamed of becoming a successful businesswoman, but fate had other plans. With no opportunities knocking on my door, I found myself stuck in a dead-end job, struggling to make ends meet. To make matters worse, I was a single mother, raising my 6-year-old daughter, Emily, on my own. Her father had long since abandoned us, leaving me to bear the burden of parenthood alone. My days blended together in a haze of monotony. I worked tirelessly, only to come home to a small apartment that seemed to shrink smaller with each passing day. My dreams of a better life seemed to slip further away with each passing day. As I held my daughter, I realized that I wasn't alone. I had her, and she needed me. I couldn't give up, not now, not ever. I would keep fighting, keep pushing forward, no matter what life threw our way. One day, as I was walking home from work, I stumbled upon a flyer for a local community college. They were offering free classes for single mothers, and something about it resonated with me. I felt a spark of hope ignite within me, and I knew I had to take a chance. With Emily in tow, I attended my first class, nervous but determined. The instructor, a kind-hearted woman named Ms. Thompson, took me under her wing, recognizing the fire in my belly. For the first time in years, I felt like someone believed in me. As the weeks went by, I thrived in the program. I discovered a talent for graphic design and began to see a new path unfolding before me. With Ms. Thompson's guidance, I started taking on small projects, building a portfolio, and eventually landing my first real client. The sense of accomplishment was intoxicating, and I felt like I was finally breaking free from the shackles of regret. Emily, too, was thriving, proudly showing off my designs to her friends at school. As the months passed, my business grew, and I began to see a glimmer of the life I had always wanted. We moved into a new apartment, one with a backyard and a view of the sunset. The small victories added up, and I realized that I was no longer living a life of regret. I thought about giving up, about throwing in the towel and admitting defeat. But something inside me refused to let me give in. I remembered the words of my grandmother, who had raised me and my siblings on her own after our parents died. "Never give up, no matter how hard it gets," she would say. "You are stronger than you think". It wasn't easy, but I didn't give up. I kept pushing forward, even when it felt like the whole world was against me. And slowly but surely, things started to fall into place. I landed a better job, one that paid more and offered benefits. I moved into a new apartment, one that was safe and clean. And Emily thrived, growing into a happy, healthy, and curious child. As I looked at my daughter, now a confident and independent young girl, I knew that I had made the right decision. I had refused to give up, and it had paid off in ways I never could have imagined. I was proud of myself, proud of the person I had become. And I knew that no matter what life threw our way, Emily and I would face it together, as a team.

A Letter to the Baby Queers
To All Whom It May Concern (even if you don't know it yet), I must begin with my deepest apologies. I'm sorry that for all our struggles and gains over the past decades, true acceptance still seems so far away. Gay marriage is legal, but disabled Queers can't take advantage of that without losing the benefits that keep them alive. Pronouns and Gender-Affirming care is becoming more common, but trans-athletes experience pushback and no politicians seem willing to look for a third option.

Through Time and Life, There will Always be Songs that Scream Pride
One thing about the LGBTQ+ community, they're able to bring pride to many different art forms; may it be through painting, literature, cinema, or even music. Songs have been a way for queer people to express themselves and their feelings, which is why music in itself is such a big part of their wide and diverse culture; they are able to play and celebrate the lyrics that reflect their own identities.
