I am a TRANSMAN!

According to some news station I watched about 4 or 5 hours ago maybe slightly longer. There are about 1.4 million people who may identify as transgender whether male or female in the United States that is. The truth is that number I guarantee is way higher than 1.4 million but yet it fluctuates because of so many different factors. Never mind the statistics right now though, let us talk about acceptance, inclusion and love of these 1.4 million children, teens and adults. For whatever reason no one truly seems to accept us as we are in some many areas. Even when these children and teens are not trying to make medical transition at the time.

Acceptance for many transgender people include calling us by our prospective pronouns whether you agree or disagree with what we decide to do with our life. Not asking inappropriate questions that are truly of no concern of yours unless we are your significant other or our medically licensed doctor. After all I know some of you consider yourselves doctors of life and honestly do not have all the answers, hell even doctors do not have all the answers they are learning too! Let me also inform you that those inappropriate questions I am talking about are "What's in your pants?", "How many surgeries have you had?", "Do you plan to have any more?", and lastly "Is your transition complete?". None of those are questions you need to know, if someone chooses to tell you please do not take it upon yourself to share information they did not give to whomever you are talking to.

Inclusion for many transgender people no matter the age involves us being able be seen as the men or women we are becoming. Being able to play sports as a children or teens as the young man or young woman we are. Everyone wants to be able to belong to something and for many transgender individuals that is belonging to the male or female world. To not be judged when saying if we chose to say that we were AFAB/AMAB, a female at birth or a male at birth. However even with all of that information people are still judging and excluding those who are transgender but not just us, those that are different in any way shape or form which is terrible. Being able to be included with someone showing off their chest whether you have or do not have breasts that stick out. Being able to stand in front of a stall and use the restroom. Being able to wear makeup and dress if I so choose. Simple as that!

Love for transgender people like all the rest, we are looking for the exact same thing you get as being the cis-gendered person you are. We want to be cared for, hugged and kissed on without someone staring. Basically we want what "normal" have just as who we are and we all are entitled to be able to live our lives without outside interference. It is unacceptable that anyone has to fight for rights to be able to live in this world. No one should have to fight to be loved, to be wanted physically, mentally and emotionally. The only thing we should have to fight is things we cannot control like viruses, diseases and everything that is horrible with this world we live in.

I know this is not a paper we are writing but, I enjoy writing this way for the most part maybe next time I'll tell a story about transgender people. We all need acceptance, inclusion and love. Without especially love, this world would be even more worse off than it is. People need to open their minds to just love because once you love someone unconditionally you will dislike things but you will not make them feel less than when you say your peace in a respectful manner. Be an ally to the LGBT community, I promise it'll be worth it! So many people in this world who identify all types of ways with such fantastic personalities. I am proud and happy to be exactly who I am and I will forever be thankful for the all that I learn and continue to learn while Living In My Truth!
