Your Name on the Walls

You would not let me.

By Charles-Antoine BrunetPublished 7 years ago 1 min read

And all I ever wanted was to write

Your name on the walls, on the walls.

But you would not let me,

No, you would not let me.

And I never lied to you, no.

Never tried to tell you why, no.

Just explained myself, and the thorns in your eyes

While you kept on waiting.

Time is running slow now

And I can't wait to believe

Once again the power fills me

And I feel my souls shake

Until tomorrow, then

Until tomorrow, then

Why won't you open the curtains

Raise the flags, battle war

Why won't you go away

Get up and leave, then.

Why won't you get up and leave.
